Browsing through this section of the forum, I'm reminded of one of my favorites…thought I'd share:
 
Sounds like a robotic information-giver.

But I like his ideas of the Schizotypoid personality. With a queer personality with somewhat loose accosiations and somewhat out of the normal range, concreteness of disocciation and melodramatic thinking.

Like my uncle, who had so much social power, but in a way he was living in his own world that people bought into. Half-crazies. Not sure about that diagnosis for all shaman-like types though.
 
Yeah, not all shamans are schizotypal, and not all schizotypals are shamans.

I like the idea of "mild" mental illness/ aberrations conferring an evolutionary advantage for certain roles in societies.
