I personally don't have experience with klonopin w/d but have you checked out benzobuddies.org? A lot of people over there have gone through it and there are even specific megathreads for people to get and give support. Good luck on getting off them.
 
Dragging it out is tough, it requires dedication. Its difficult as you need to maintain it, be disciplined, for ages! And yet, it should allow you to function with minimal withdrawal. You need to be patient and see this through. Tapering IS effective. If you are experiencing withdrawal when you cut, go slower. Its suggested that you reduce by no more than 10% of your dose, so each cut will be different but proportional.

I'd avoid other GABAergics during this. They will relieve withdrawal but will set your taper back.
