Anyone here a member of a mystery school?

so being a mason gives you the insight of knowing what they keep secret thus making you a mistic? I see what you are saying and though it is true , a true mystic is far more then someone who discovers where his keys have been lost.

It's discovering the IMPORTANT mysteries of life. (ie: why are we here, how can we help, Who is God, etc.). Not finding keys or anything trivial like that.

Peahtur - How do you like being in the Golden Dawn? Can you tell us a little about how the group works? Thanks. ;)

antinazi = i'm not sure i follow what you are saying.

Mystery and mysticism are very closely related words. If I'm not mistaken mysticism comes from German, where another word is used to describe the New Agey, wishy washy type of mysticism (something like mysticunzer or some such word), and mysticism is used to describe those experiential spiritual practices that usually emerge from an established religion.

To discover a secret a human keeps is not mysticism.... mysticism carries a connotation of transcension or supernatural revelation.
