Any new Gabapentin and Xanax cross tolerance research?

I've been wondering if there's a cross tolerance between gabapentin and xanax for a while now. The problem is, there's too equal of a split between people who think there is and people who think there isn't. I've seen some studies on it, but none of them are even remotely close to being conclusive enough to say whether or not there really is a cross tolerance. So I wanted to know if there are any new studies or experiments that are actually somewhat conclusive and definitive. Does anyone know where I can find that?

I personally think there is some cross tolerance but not exactly the same mechanism of tolerance that you would expect from benzo use. Besides Gabapentin's (possibly minor) effect on GABA itself, it can inhibit glutamate release via the calcium channels, and the glutamate responds by up regulating receptors.

For what it's worth the couple people who have had issues with Gabapentin withdrawal and such that I've talked to were prior benzo users.
