I don't get impairment when stoned. Everything just looks normal. Anyone else out there get the same thing?

Depends on how stoned I try to get.

If I make it my mission to get fucked up, I'm most certainly smoking myself to impairment. If I'm just going through the daily routine then I'm taking a few pulls to calm my anxious thoughts, getting into that focused zen state and going about my business per usual. Although, this White Diamond OG I've been smoking the past several weeks has been making rooms spins off a bowl and a handful of beers, but I've also been straight up exhausted and famished due to my holiday work schedule so there's several factors at play with that.

I don't know if you realized it but you posted an interesting topic. I am an old user on this forum, very educated, very smart and very lucky when it comes to my lifestyle. Do you know that I can take 100mg, 200mg...500mg, of pure d-amphetamine, and I still remain sober despite hearing voices, seeing Santa break into my home? It's good that you can stay sober on weed, but know that other people like myself can freeze themselves to shit with hard drugs and still be as sober as Judge Judy.

I can give you an example you can understand, masturbating to a pornographic movie until I perceive the woman in the video being with me for real, part of a dream or fairy tale. Despite all of it, I know how much I took, when, and I know that, unless I ejaculate within 2 hours, the fairy tale will go away and I will be sitting there wondering why I'm watching that non-sense. Not only I am aware of changes in perception and I can also tell reality from the psychotic side effects but I can also plunge in the psychotic side effects and use them for my benefit, while also remaining perfectly rational and making good decisions in real time, while being in a state that would give anyone else a panic attack and leave them traumatized for months.

Another example would be, in the depths of psychosis, at 3am, I can set the alarm watch one hour earlier, at 5:30am, because I'm able to tell that would be enough for a deep sleep stage, before I wake up to take more amphetamines and go back to sleep, so i can look sober one hour later, at 7am so I can go to work. I'm talking about advanced level planning that I'm able to do in a state that most people refer to as the reality of a fly or a bug, something 100% irrational, because they haven't found a way to keep some minimal cortex areas lit up during that time.

It is very good that you actively try to remain sober while you're stoned, it's good practice. The rest of the idiots will tell you if you wana be sober, don't smoke. Let them be idiots, their life is worth what it is worth at the end of the day.

Good post K.

And yes I feel just the same on cannabis as drug_user but I look incredibly impaired.
People I trust told me.

Yeh but dont forget some people imagine stuffwhen their on drugs and the fact you hallucinated would suggest you was very much so intoxicated even if you didn't know you was.

Salutations CuriousKid,

People don't believe me when I say I don't smoke weed to get high.

Traditional self-serving media routinely conveys populist preconceptions describing one's appeal for THC-induced "buzz" as marginal and anti-social, if not "deviant" or even "threatening" to society (...), while alcohol and/or tobacco-nicotine/smoking still require ZERO justification despite their respective controversial background on planet Itnoc. IMO this can only re-enforce asymmetric stereotypes: e.g. serve 3rd-party socio-toxic propaganda intended to induce/exploit a damaging sense of guilt & failure (and more), at the expense of target groups in a convergence context, for some obscure ideological reason, etc.

Now lets try to make the nature of these attacks reveal itself in a somewhat more obvious way, by using straightforward "taboo" substitution for comparison purposes: maybe masturbation should do fine here, for example.

:sus:

Hummm... Then what if one does indeed happen to enjoy sexual climax right after masturbation anyway?!! 8)

...

No big deal! Euh... Or how trivial a pleasure shall prove to be exactly when combusting that very "last" cigarette before one finally decides to quit?... Etc., etc...

:?

My conclusion should sound direct enough: essentially that's NOT even a "problem" of ours to begin with, it's theirs plain & simple. As "stoners"/"droÿés" we just can't be held responsible for those individual's relaying an archaïc sense of bigotry, nor old obvious failures to apply mature/rational principles pretending to "save" the world, to top it all!... IMO the primordial urge to deny the realities of others has to do with bullies « breaking the toys of others » on a near-conspiracy scale and those who contribute to perpetuate this unfair persecution system should be reminded of the consequences more often.

In other words the bigot anti-cannabic prohibitionists are quick to re-focus attention elsewhere as if nobody was ever aware what's the real "harm" of cannabis, e.g. permanent "legaleezed" prejudice for some victim-less "crime", etc. I mean, isn't the "buzz" quite harmless compared to being turned into an excuse for repeated stigmatization by hate-speech?...

:|

As a matter of fact the final goals belong to ourselves and we don't need to provide explanations to 3rd-parties nor do we have to make definitive choices that risk to block future viable paths, etc. Every human is entitled to his own trial & error experiences since that's how we learn and grow, so i don't see the "buzz" and "medicinal" applications as reciprocally excluding scenarios, which would still correspond to the binary thinking of reefer madness: e.g. blessed vs evil and whatnot. The 2 consumption models (with vs without a "buzz") may seem incompatible on TV though that shouldn't even concern us.

It'd be nice to get a little stoned though.

M'well, never count on hate-lovers/love-haters for help: they can only vilify the noble plant in any manner imaginable, In The Name Of Children!

In my opinion the consumption method reflects on a consumer's intake profile vs tolerance and hence his ability to enjoy the "buzz" on the long term.

Good day, have fun!! =D
