Am i fucking up my metabolism by skipping breakfeast?

But are enzyme's resources its not like we have any control over them they are secreted when possible as needed?
no we don't control them directly but given how much lifestyle influences health i am pretty sure that questionable choices have a significant impact on the bodies chemical resources.

I've never eaten breakfast, never hungry in the morning.

I had a doctor tell me once that it's better to eat something, even if it's as small as a cracker or a few blueberries in the morning. It balances your metabolism

I've never been a big fan of breakfast either. Coffee and fags is my go to wake up regimen...

Intermittent fasting is proven to be exceedingly beneficial to all round health, vitality and longevity if correctly followed.

Best or optimum is 16 hours between food daily.

Commonly people will eat two meals in those 8 hrs then repeat.

Or just one meal in cases. Not quite adequate though.

It depends how you are geared and running maybe. There is plenty room with intermittent fasting though as an example to routine breakfast out, adopt an order and under normal conditions, on the whole there should be no demise in body health committing to intermittent fasting and choosing when you do or don't eat.

I imagine it depends again how your body is fuelled and runs.
I pretty much do that. I never eat breakfast and eat 2 meals a day. Usually 14 or so hours I go w/o eating anything.

Hi, thanks for sharing. Yes, it's flexible. 14, 15, 16. No more ideally.

12 does not count IMO.

Because that is the real required minimum.

Break-fast after a 12 hour fast.

But that isn't intermittent.

I just remember seeing how 16 proved optimum when studied a bit.

Makes sense, because 12 hours doesn't count action or function as a fast, for any real detox to comnence.

So 16 gives enough time to complete that more.

But whatever works best.

36 hrs works stunners too. Not as a routine just sensible planned actual true "one day fast",

2 days = 60 hours. Amazing rejuvenation and detox if you see that through.

I have never ever once taken one single inhalation of or even put a fag to my lips, never any idea wish or plan to.

Actually it was just never going to happen.

I did smoke tobacco 2000 to 2005, in fat joints only as weed was just too expensive to be sharing big pure spliffs at student parties.

But only ever for sake of weed, never with tobacco use or desire in mind.

Mad state huh? 300++ grams OG Exstacy, 500 mg's LSD, up arse, in eye lol.

For starts. Loads other shit.

So I plugged LSD and Exstacy, overdosed on everything. Lost many brain parts over time.

But I never smoked a single fag! Because I got principle lol. 😀

qft.

it has to be a lifestyle change. last year i just set the goal of getting back into the healthy BMI range, i did it, kept some of the habits i'd got into while doing it but dropped some others, mostly my avoidance of takeaways. so i quickly went back to being overweigt. i then just decided that eating junk but purging it would be good. it was not, it got out of control v quickly and i still don't have it in control,

i still miss takeout but i know if i get it i'm very unlikely to be able to keep it down so i just have to deal with not having it mostly. i actually can't imagine going back to eating the amount of bread and stuff i used to.

breakfast was pushed by kelloggs. do what works for you. i've recently pushed my breakfast later cos the earlier i eat, the more hungry i get so i am more likely to overeat. if not eating breakfast is helping, and you're OK energy wise, then you don't need it.

i'm not really sure that fucking up metabolism is a real thing. i ate one meal a day (before it was cool lol) from 11 til i went to uni, where i promptly spiralled into completely uncontrolled anorexia. i got a bit better aged about 22, but didn't start eating properly consistently until i was 33, when i went the other way. if its possible to fuck up your metabolism by skipping breakfast, or going days without eating, or eating less than 200 calories per day while walking for 8 hours 4-5 days a week (i really don't understand how i did this and do not recommend even trying) for months on end, i'd have done it. the only time my metabolism has been obviously fucked up is actually when i had hypermetabolism during refeeding, i.e. the opposite of what people mean when they say you'll wreck your metabolism!!
lol 'moral fibre' or Porn flakes

I think it needs to be taken into account whether one is in a post addiction phase or not.

If so, one's capricious feelings about breakfast (i've never been a fan) should be reconsidered.

A supplement rich smoothie should be an ideal minimum.

I was really judt paraphrasing the notion emphasised by the ancient Ayurvedic health dosha.

You have taken it so literally and terminally.

The "evidence" in this case is the Ayurvedic texts and their exact way of presenting this point.

I did not elaborate to suggest....afterr 8 pm the body reduces enzyme production enough for digestion to be less efficient generally after that point.

Our bology is linked to the time of day. There is an optimum time.

Digrstion is at peak potential at noon they say too.

4 am is our weakest point. Not from Ayurveda that bit but I imagine they have a line on it.

Is it so implausible to consider that enzyme priduction is rampant at particular lunar hours, and eating putside of that strains the body more with less efficient digestion?

Also, sleep before midnightis effectively double vs afterwards.

So 10 pm to 5 am is superior to 12 am to 7 am.

This book is a decent resource about phases & time re: human nervous system, including relative effects of drugs.

Fresh fruit all the way till lunch is excellent, if you are trying to loose weight.
