I am prescribed 25 MG of Adderall extended release. I ran out of my prescription already so I took a 20mg Adderall instant release today.My drug test tomorrow (urinalysis). Both prescriptions say DEXTROAMP-AMPHET. Will they show up the same on my drug test? Or will they show up different? PLEASE HELP!!!!
 
You should be fine. From my understanding (new to adderall) the only difference between the two is that half gets released immediately with the XR version and the other half gets released more slowly throughout the day, whereas, the IR version is released in full immediately. They’re the same drug.
 
They are the same exact drug just pressed differently. But we normally don't field drug testing questions. I'm going to close this.
