A few questions for those well versed in psychedelics.

Mushrooms set you down very nicely indeed, especially when consumed via tea. LSD is much more of a stimulant than many people give it credit for. I might even go far as to say it's not a "classical" psychedelic. That D2 activity ain't no joke

That's where the couple bad LSD trips I've had have gone south, not the come up or peak but very tail end. Didn't feel like I was still tripping but very serious delusional thinking crept up until panic set in leading to full psychotic breaks. Very frustrating.

In one of David Nichols' talks he had theorized that there are 5-HT2A/D2 heterodimers (think two receptors stuck together) that form especially at the end of an LSD trip, and as the D2 receptors sensitize over time with activation, those two things might contribute to that sometimes darker half of the LSD trip
