my bad. I guess I associate it with the early 00s because of The Royal Tenenbaums. That was my first exposure to Elliot Smith and I guess I always assumed it was released around the same time.

I, too, found him in the 00s, so I completely understand where you're comino from. Like a bolt of lightning, it struck me as a spiritual and creative revelation.
