Thank you, Nicholai. I am developing good technique. I (re)started with some 1.5in 25ga, with which i had surprising success for the most part. i tried insulin needles, now I am using excel 1cc syringes and .30 Ga .5 in needles. I may try shorter needles. If i fail to register 2x, i change needles. Usually the first shot of the session goes fine. over the last week i have been able to hit the inside elbow vein on the right easily (no tie). i tend to chew my arms up on subsequent shots however. I am getting better. I am weighing my dosage, and actually lowering it, so I'm less apprihensive and not shaking so much. I also noted that going quickly and decisevly instead of mucking around has a much better success rate.
Thank you for your advice. I will stop yanking the needle out right away. I "drag"the needle, too, scratching the skin. i do use copious amounts of triple antibiotic and vitamin e, fortunatly, for I tend to get good at an area, chew it up, then find another site. both outside crook veins are healing, lumpy...
