where do you go to university/TAFE, and what do you do?

Stats suck.

I had my first exam today. Had the runs yesterday then got a burning fever all night so couldn't sleep and vomited before I got in my car. Had to leave exam half an hour early (though I got everything done I would have liked to have spent more time on the essay) to run to the toilet.

FUCK YOU BODY, WHY NOW!?

Now stupid fever's coming back.

Thank fuck my next exam isn't 'til next wednesday.

Oh my god lostpunk that SUCKS mate!!! 8o
I'm sure you've done fine in the exam anyway, but still, so awful :(
Good luck for the one on Wednesday!

Recently finished my Cert. IV in Disability at Chisholm & I'll probably do my diploma in a couple of years (if I ever get around to it ;)).

Good luck to everyone sitting exams! I've my first tonight and are hoping the internet doesn't crash (yes its an online exam)!!!

Or worse the power doesn't trip

Hehe ahh Uni exams, how I DON'T miss those! Hope everyone went well!

I was at Griffith University for my BA Social Science (Psychology) then went to University of Queensland for my BA Law/Political Science (which I'm currently a year off graduating but took time off) so I'm hoping to get back into it next year :D

next year i start my long university process. bridging course into bacholer of pharmacy... havent studied for 5 years so should be interesting, well what can i say im just interested in pharmaceauticals.

^ Can't go wrong if you're interested... that's the best way, you'll learn heaps :)

Stick around Bluelight, you'll learn heaps here too!

Uni of Newcastle.

BA: Social and anthropological studies AND English (Creative writing). One subject left and on to post-uni life, like deciding whether I should go back to sydney (used to be at MQ).

I enrolled in an MBA at JCU yesterday. Holy shit it's going to hurt, working full time and studying part again but I'm afraid it has to be done or I'll be stuck in my dead end job forever.

Each subject in an MBA costs about $1900, fuck me! 8o But I'll be doing it free under the "Staff Study Assistance Scheme" :D

I'm currently in studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy at UQ... hoping to go into Med after. Bluelight has helped HEAPS about learning different drugs and how they work... so thanks for helping me pass guys :p haha

When I was trying to decide what to study at uni I was kinda scared of making a decision that would pigeon hole me into a certain type of narrow career path. 12 years later I've decided that was a completely bullshit fear.

In any case I decided to cover my bases by studying a double degree. I chose a B.Applied Computing since I was into computers at that stage of my life and a B.Commerce since I thought some there was decent practical business career opportunities in that area.

In hindsight I would have been better off picking just one field of study and finishing in 3 years rather than 5 but that's hindsight for you.

In any case I have since had two different employers. 5 years in a smaller medium size business seeing all aspects of the business followed by a couple of years of self-employment (too hard) and now a couple of years working for a huge multi-national.

While it is important to pick a field of study that you will be interested in I think it is also important to consider the return on the investment for your time.

For instance if I had my time again I would probably study dentistry. Lots of time with people, amazingly good money and a challenging job with the potential for specialisation if it gets boring. Whereas now I am a sales rep that gets to spend lots of time with people on good money but heaps less than a dentist and it's only sometimes challenging.

Can't be too much of a dead end job with a study assistance scheme like that. I've often consider and MBA or Masters in Marketing but I've never thought it would increase my earning capacity enough to make the cost and time worthwhile. Or maybe i'm just too lazy.

^ It's definitely a dead end job :\ That's why I need to go back to studying, to get the puck out of this kunty organisation. I'm pretty sure my current supervisor is thanking god for the SSAS, otherwise I'd be out the door because after working there for almost 6 years, they have nothing left to offer me

Haha you go to my Uni! :p

Just started my Cert IV in Make-up design so I can do special effects make-up ie turning people into zombies, slasher victims, making 50 year olds look 20 and vice versa, etc etc. I freaking love it. I'll also learn how to do Geisha, kabuki, period, vintage, etc make-ups. I have work experience on my first zombie shoot in November, and the principal reckons she'll have me working on a feature film in the next 12 months. Sooooo excited :D

^^ That's sooooo rad McWigga! My sister wants to do that as a career too.. I've always wanted to be a zombie.. Hahahaha

1st year finished yesterday, second starts today. this whole no break thing is pretty hardcore.
