Getting harder and harder to score gear in Dublin

Alright Gav. Yep, apparently its all dirt. Heard there was bits and pieces of proper product around but the prices are ridiculous so I'm glad I'm away from it. Heard about those OD's you mentioned and I also heard of a couple who were fatal unfortunately brother.

Not that I'm aware of, those I heard of were shooting. I know of plenty of folks still smoking what they can get without any issues as regards going over. Their main complaint is that the product has no legs and it doesn't last long on the foil. Also, they're running through it very fast on account of the sub-par strength.

In my opinion with heroin, opiate pills, or benzos. Now any of us consumers should be sending to Wedinos.org free testing service first. I mean it is free. And if your dealer gives you shit and you expose him. Then his hand is forced next time to give you a genuine product. I mean it looks kinda bad for business people with negative labtests of stuff they bought from you.

Might even open their eyes to their own supplier has been scammimg them. But in nearly every experienced i showed someone stuff wasnt right. They rewarded me.

Apparently it's dry around the SW of Scotland and a fairly big firm was taken down recently which might explain it. Also services have had an emergency warning regarding lethal gear. I went over a few months ago, straight to black. A few pages back explains it in detail but it was a normal shot, normal tolerance and I went straight to black waking up strapped to a board and being put into an ambo. Dunno if there's a drought or if the encrochat busts are causing people to put nasty cuts in the gear as firms are being taken out and new people are stepping in. Apparently lots of ODs. Someone recommended a methadone script which I'd say is a start but the best route if you want to stay off it is buprenorphine, especially the Buvidal injections with a half life of about six weeks. They are a life saver and imo the best ORT available. It seems we're gonna end up like the US and diamorphine will become a rarity. Fentanyl is so much easier to smuggle and the profit margins must be huge. It might be time to say goodbye to Lady H for a while at least. I recommend everybody get a script at least as a fall back and make sure you have naloxone!

Ha yeah I was just thinking the dealer will either tell you to fuck off, or just say "whey aye mate it's just the bash. Its still already gear" or something similar and not in a geordie accent in most cases.

Personally I believe titration is the way to go if you are concerned about yer gear - so far in east london anyway it's just plain ol heroin of varying strength - i tend to opt for the stronger variety.

Yeah I totally agree with what you said there.

I've heard tales of addicts taking dreadful risks with many different aspects of the process, and the reality is that many arent going to be prepared or equiped to wait a couple of weeks or so to get lab results, when it's often all about the instant gratification.

Anyone that has the discipline, self control, and organisation to send samples off and wait for the results is probably a far cry from most addicts, and it would be a totally different user profile and pattern of use for someone who does this with each batch of heroin they acquire.

That's true, there's never a spare bag but samples do get sent in. Maybe provincial OCGs testing the weight they get or whatever. The police should be letting the public know exactly what's in anything they seize through arrests/raids and stuff because street users are never gonna do it, user-dealers aren't gonna do it. It's a pain in the hole anyway even if you're functional in your use. I don't know what the solution is - surely as we slowly go down the route of harm reduction, testing should be done by the healthcare system, the charities that give out scripts, maybe the filth but all you see are warnings now and then in the charity services that dodgy gear has been reported.

If I had a safe enough supply now I'd send a bag in but I've been off it for a while. As people have said, it's probably time to consider the idea that decent diamorphine is becoming a rarity and cheaper, nastier drugs are going to start filling the void as has happened across the Atlantic where it seems like there is hardly heroin anywhere, just fent, xylazine and whatever other nasty shit they put in. There is a sample on wedinos with xylazine as the main active ingredient and as far as I can remember, there was no heroin in it at all. Search for it and you'll see. It's happening and anyone I speak to who is on it I advise to get on a script and stay away. Surely there's plenty of heroin left and of course opium can be shelved for years along the trafficking routes but why bother with processing, hiding and transporting gear when you can bring in opiods that are far more potent, easier to smuggle and all that, knowing that junkies will buy whatever is on offer.

I dunno but I feel that either the market is changing or some higher ups with connections to intelligence/the state are enacting a culling exercise due to the sheer number of ODs. But that's just me being a crank.

Sadly that's the Truth.
I'm convinced the higher up people who control the quality have never used it, if a dealer understood how important quality is they wouldn't bash it so badly. I'm convinced if something that was high purity hit the market sales would be huge and they would make more profit.
