One of my favorite poems, To Helen by EA Poe; (pls excuse me for some writing errors, Im writing this out of memory, not copy/paste, and English is not my native language...)

To Helen,
Thy beauty is to me, like those Nicean barks of your
That gently o'r a perfumed sea, bring the weary, wayworn wanderer bore to his own native shore
Thy classic face, the hyacinth hair, those Naiad airs have brought me home
To the beauty that was Greece and
The grandeur that was Rome!
High up in thy window niche I see thee stand
The Agathe lamp within thy hand
Ah, Psyche, from the regions which are Holy Land.

Another one of my favorits, copy/paste this time, Funeral Blues XII by WH Auden;

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling in the sky the message 'He is 'Dead'.
Put crepe bows around the necks of the white public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, My East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My midnight, my noon, my talk, my song;
I thought love would last forever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

Dans motel miteux, mon instinct me sert d'éclaireur

A short poem I wrote myself;

Jouw woorden
Als dauwdruppels ontsprongen
Op een vroege nevelochtend
Om dan, na hun moment van pracht
Te sterven in het niets...

Poorly translated;

Your words
As dew drops came to life
On an early misty morning
To then, after their moment of glory
Dying into the nothingness...

A quote from bukowski: live your life so well that Death itself will tremble to take you away...

Bukowski: I want the part of you that you refuse to give...

Nietzsche: to live is to suffer, to find meaning in that suffering is to survive...

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Some I wrote myself, pls consider that English is not my native language.

I made a chemistry joke; no reaction...

You know you will live forever if everyone wants you dead...

Its like the raging of la tempesta over the graves at night by full moon while the witches doing the danse macabre in the 19th century, the real romantic era where romance was filled with darkness and madness, devils and demons and tragedy, and not the sweet making your teeth rott kitsh that is romance today with romcoms and valentine, a flower and a bottle champagne on your aniversery and so on...

"... God forbid we should ever be 20. years without [such] a rebellion. The people can not be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. We have had 13 states independant 11 years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure..."
-Thomas Jefferson

“A writer — and, I believe, generally all persons — must think that whatever happens to him or her is a resource. All things have been given to us for a purpose, and an artist must feel this more intensely. All that happens to us, including our humiliations, our misfortunes, our embarrassments, all is given to us as raw material, as clay, so that we may shape our art.”—Jorge Luis Borges/Interview with Roberto Alifano in “Twenty-Four Conversations with Borges: Including a Selection of Poems.”
