Do you agree with Christians, that sin is good and a happy fault and necessary to God?

self-destruct all the time
I must have missed those, but we are likely to be heading for our first.

A species can only self destruct once, I think, is an irrefutable statement.

I do agree that we should be doing better, and are as religions shrink.

Explains all things?
Look at nature and seek Gnosis, and all you seek of importance to know, you will know.

I am not surprised that you cringed at a moral question.

Most people do not like to face those, --- and the religious especially, --- run like hell from them, because, --- without inquisitions and jihads, --- they have nothing to convert with.

Second: Riddle me this, answerman: What is the origin of the universe? Can we travel backwards in time? Where is antimatter? What is the cure for cancer? What makes us dream? What's the pattern of prime numbers? Is our reality the only reality? Is our universe the only universe? What is consciousness? Will we ever know everything? Are we in a dream? What happens after we die? Do morphogenetics fields really exist?
I will quote Jesus literally here.

John 6 ; 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Luke 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Mark 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

My question was on the spirit and morality and all your issues are to the body.

ok?
No they were not all "issues to the body"(weird expression btw). Both morphogenetic fields and what happens to us after we die are "issues to the spirit". And just fyi so was my question about dreams and consciousness. So..? Any help would be appreciated. How does nature explain everything?

I can't discuss with you if you do not pay attention to detail.

Oh, no, I cringed at something else entirely.
I could explain, but I feel like it would get me banned.

You made the claim that I made the claim without a quote which I requested.

come on man. now you're just dodging.

here you go:

Sinning, as Jesus and the church say, is good.

you seem to like the philosophical and linguistic gymnastics but just answer the question plainly and simply, once and for all. where does jesus say sinning is good?

I've never heard a Christian say sinning was good and I've spent quite a bit of time (my entire life) attending various denominations! This one of the strangest threads I've seen in a minute.

Did you grow up attending a Gnostic church? Do they teach things "like sin is good"?

Maybe there should be a difference between sinning and wrong doing..

When something feels wrong?

But then there are mental disorders where peoples brain chemistry doesn't allow them to tell right from wrong properly.

are your (not very) thinly-veiled insults really contributing to the discussion?

we did this before: Sinning, as Jesus and the church say, is good. Turn or burn Christians.

i don't believe you were able to demonstrate, in that thread, that jesus says sinning is good.

Taking words literally without the understanding of context isn't making you appear intelligent, just rude for no reason.

Gnostic Bishop:

since God doesn't exist and the bible is technically just a bunch of old analogous stories , it depends on what a sin actually is and who is judging the sin.

Sins are unavoidable and some are human nature.

All this need for control over people using fear of the afterlife doesn't make people stop sinning but hopefully make better choices .

Man makes up what a sin is and what will happen if you sin, or dont repent, or whatever.

By his actions in Eden and in the hymn that names Adam's sin a happy fault and necessary to god's plan.

Think Trinity.

That put's Jesus in Eden, and there, Jesus/Yahweh made sure Eve was tempted by Satan/talking serpent.

Why else would the serpent be given a voice?

You have never heard of the Exsultet hymn.

Seems you did not care to research the wording like I did, and educate yourself, and want me to do it for you.

I will let you do it yourself.

Scriptures use the logic shown below to justify sin.

Romans 4:15 because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression. (biblehub.com)

Think in dualistic terms and recognize the good in evil.

Sure, it is mostly evil, but there is also a good component to sin.

Yin must always have a Yang.

It is my assumption that we need to be rid of this "good"/"evil" conditioning so that we may lead a healthier life.
we "condemn" ourselves when we assassinate anothers character and stone them to death... after peeping our own hole-card by others we become the "dead".

Yeah but Bill Gates is a bad man though, just an example, in my mind.

Posessed by evil, and hellbent on it, I would say.

Just....a theoretical example.

I see evil though. In people, and things.

I also see no evil in some people.

I believe in a spiritual battle for the mind of humanity too.

And I stand against that which assaults, corrupts and seeks to possess, which against my wishes I do believe in.

I'll be honest, and my mind is very open here, but the whole garden of Eden setup seems a bit "staged".

Bad...idea I say. I also say, if God is so clever, why leave this apple there, just chuck it away, let Adam and Eve be happy, nothing for you to "eve"n get mad about too.

It's like the Star wars movie "3".

Just doesn't make sense. It's all Obe 1's fault. He's hacked up Aneken, crying "you were the chosen one", when as a professional jedi he should have known better, and finished the job.

Apart from the sheer curelty of it, he only needed to end Aneken's pain and...no Darth Vader!

I say he fucked up big time there, but the Jedi councel never called him out on it.
