I’ve taken probably over 6000mg total today but I spaced the doses out cause ik the bioavailability is low if you take to much at once. Can you OD from taking to much in a day?? I’ve hit a dead end on getting a high from them so I was just wondering what I could do or If there a specific dose that would do best?

I had a friend who ended up lost in her closet, crying for a night. She threw up all day, the next day. But I've never heard of anyone dying from too much.

If ur taking ever increasing doses of Gabapentin for a genuine medical condition and its not improving then u should consider changing to Pregabalin!

It’s pretty hard to OD on gabapentin but at the dosage you’ve taken I’d say a lot was wasted. It has super low bioavailability. Unless you spread that amount out over a full 24 hours you’ve wasted it.

And I wouldn’t advise taking 6000mg over 24 hours. Those dosages are way to high. You need to lower your tolerance to it by cutting back a bit. Have you been taking it enough to cause physical addiction Now? Because it’s a total bitch to get off.

I do spread it out over 24 hours I take between 1800mg and 2400mg at a time and I’ve been doing this for a little less than a week. There’s no way I can already be addicted right?

i think she means stacking one pill every 30-45mins. taking large amounts at a time is wasteful, your body can only process 300-600mg at a time.

Exactly what I meant @nznity

@Oxy toxy Gabapentin isn’t a case of the more you take the better. You said yourself you know it has low bioavailability yet you’re taking 1800/2400mg in one go. And no a week of taking what you have won’t give you an addiction but I will warn you now to make sure you’re not taking it regularly enough to get one. That’s not a pleasant withdrawal and tolerance builds so fast to gabapentin that you’ll end up having to just take it to stave off withdrawal without any recreational value whatsoever.

Ive looked through your previous posts. What are you taking it with during the day?

Seconding that gabapentinoids are horrid drugs to end up hooked on. If you feel the need to take such excessive doses to get an effect just give up and find better drugs to get high from tbh.

Definitely I been doing 50-100mg pregabalin occasionally and it mixes well with stims and benzos and weed.
same, i've never ever abused benzos or gabapentinoids. I only use em when i need em for opiate withdrawal or if i want a boost in energy(pentin), sleep better(lyrica) or if i wanna potentiate other drugs. Morphine on the other hand.....is a fucking curse.

I’m trying to get off Oxy and it’s the only thing I can get my hands on at the moment I got like a bottle of 300 or so. It helps with the craving a little bit but I’ve gotten through most the withdrawals I just still crave so bad

We report the case of a 59-year-old military beneficiary that presented to the emergency department after ingesting approximately 90 g of gabapentin immediate-release capsules during a deliberate self-harm attempt. Her serum gabapentin level was 72.8 mcg/mL approximately 3 hours after ingestion. Her renal function panel, complete blood count, and liver function panel were normal. Her urine drug screen, aspirin, ethanol, and acetaminophen level were negative. Her electrocardiogram was normal, including a normal QTc interval. Her only symptoms were nausea and mild sedation. She was admitted for observation with no sequelae noted. She was transferred to a psychiatric facility at that time for further evaluation and treatment. We report a case of gabapentin overdose that presented to the emergency department. Given the large volume ingestion with minimal morbidity, it appears that gabapentin has a wide therapeutic margin and may be safe in overdose.

This is more a matter of my opinion based on my own usage and stuff that I've read, but here it goes.

Gabapentinoids as a class definitely contribute to intoxication when mixed with other drugs. The jury is ultimately out on how dangerous they are when mixed with other depressants.

I have take so fucking much Gabapentin in a day that it seems nonsensical in retrospect. I believe that it's fairly unique pharmacokinetics prevent it from being very dangerous as a single agent.

Like anything really, it seems that people who have taken too much experience seizure events and end up in a stupor in the hospital from time to time. But, ending up in the hospital does not mean that the person actually NEEDED hospitallization.

I don’t think I’ve ever read that gabapentin can cause seizures in high quantities when taken alone. I’ve read obviously that seizures can occur in those who use it as for their epilepsy and when withdrawing it has induced seizures. Don’t suppose you’ve any cases you’ve seen I can look at. I searched but found nothing really.

I don't understand why some ppl compare Gabapentinoids with Benzodiazepines, I think they feel totally different to each other imo! Oh and Gabapentin does absolutely nothing to me, I think its a waste. However Pregabalin has a nice effect tho.

They're both downer anxiolytics and are both scripted for anxiety disorders (in the UK and EU) but you're right, very different drugs. Mechanism of action is totally different as well as the subjective effects.
