Nah ws trying to delete the post as it was not fitting but my browser is acting up. So just used the neo-catchall to cover up.Alternative facts?
How are you doing Trev?
Have you been able to find another doctor?
Did you go to the Methadone clinic?
Just worried you are still suffering so badly without any help still.
Let us know how you are when you can.
I worry about you being left in that kind of pain for very long.
I have a pain specialist / pain management doctor and he does treat my pain.
Keep trying. There is someone who will help you.
You are having a harder time probably due to your age.
Be careful what and how you speak to them. They sometimes mistake real chronic pain patients for someone not in pain who just wants to get high or whatever.
I know it is hard to think straight when you are in that much pain and it is hard to be delicate.
You just want to grab them and scream "HELP ME!"
Yeah, that last car accident did aggravate your pain level I am sure!
And...why did you crash your car?? because you were in horrific withdrawals from their poison anti-depressants!
It is ridiculous. Hang in there.
Hi Trev,
Your friend in chronic pain here. ; ) How are you doing now? Been thinking about you and all you're going through and I hope you have found some help, real help, and that you are not in pain.
Please update when you can. Btw how are you doing now post fusion?
Hugs my friend, I hope this message finds you well,
love,
your friend,
Ash.
Hey buddy, I know you've been there from the beginning when I started this thread.
I'm about 2 months post op, and I'm doing a lot better than I was I would say 2 weeks post op, but still in a lot of pain. The rehab is about a year or possibly longer so I still have a long road ahead of me. I've been pretty open minded as far as what my doctors want me to do, but my pain management doctor wanted me to see a pain psychologist, and I just dont see the point of that. There going to try and convince me that the pain is in my head??? I looked up what the do and that basically is what they try to do.
I will keep you guys updated as my health progresses hopefully.
Btw, if you dont mind be asking what type of chronic pain are you currently dealing with? And how are you coping with it?
Thanks for all the support!
Hi honey!!! Me smiling and waving at you. ; )
Been there done that, to everything you are going through.
Post fusions my pcp also suggested ssri's/snri/s instead of pain meds. I was beyond insulted. I flat out told him I'm in PAIN and that I don't have mental illness. So I didn't take any thankfully.
Really try hard to keep standing up for yourself. I find it a struggle myself, but I gave in a couple of times and went off my pain management voluntarily because I was sick of the stress and struggle and stigma I endured to even get my rx pain meds.
They also tried to refer me to the pain shrink. I said no. And yes, that is what they do. Then they tried to send me to some pain rehab clinic. I said no.
But I started damaging my liver with tylenol when I went off my pain meds, so I went back on. Now they will have to fight me to get me off now.
I have several herniated discs presently, one at your level that you just had fused, and several others in the cervical area.
I have had fusions.
I have degenerative disc disease.
Hang in there, I really do understand and care what happens to you, and to say I empathize with you would be a gross understatement.
I hope you can stay out of pain but if things get worse, I would say go the methadone route.
Much love and support and feel free to pm me anytime.
Hugs,
your friend,
Ash.
