Oral speed and snorted heroin - a poor mans speedball?

Youve been here like 3 odd years and havent seemed to learn anything i just dont uderstand... :\ :? 8)

No, it's pretty true in many ways. Methamphetamine is a fucking serious drug. I hammered it for a couple of years over a decade ago, and i can tell you that it can create some of the most crazed depravity, insanity and addiction i've ever witnessed or indulged in under its influence that i have ever seen caused by drugs.

It's not just hype. I know people who work in emergency rooms, and (as meth is everywhere in australia) see some of the shit meth caused people. It is one of the few mass drug panics that is actually fairly accurate at times.
It can really fuck with your mental health; trust me.

And i've only ever had a few grams of 3fpm, but it seems quite similar in many ways - with a few dissimilatities too - to methamphetamine.
Personally while i had some fun taking meth, it ultimately turned a fair few folks ii knew, into very different people (and never in a good way).
Stims to me are pretty high up the list of "drugs that damage my mental health and my life, but feel so good i don't realise - or care - how much they are messing me up".
But yeah, 3fpm is really similar feeling. Maybe 3fpm has even more of a drawn-out of 3fpm (anyone else get CEV for a day or two on the tail end of a bit of a binge?).
Weird shit.
I would suspect similar risks involved in both drugs...but meth has at least been thoroughly tested (and used in medicine).

Highly addictive until you find out it costs about £90 a gram. That cured my "addiction" after about one use of the drug :) I took it orally like speed - basically felt like a ramped up version of speed or perhaps that was because I took a bigger dose.

Must admit I've never heard the siren call of heroin yet - gets me about as high as a paracetomol and if I take much more it makes me sick as a dog.

Still after reading that book I'm petrified of ever trying methamphetamine sod that for a game of soldiers :)

There's alot more legs in £90 meth than equivalently priced coke though...
 
The book is called 'Loss of Innocence; by Carren Glem and Ron Glem

Ron was a former cop and tells of how he went back to being cop to rescue his 15 year old daughter who had left the family home and how he had a heart attack when he saw her sell herself to the local drug dealer for drugs.

keep it that way, soon as you break through the puke barrier ( as soon as you stop being sick) you get physically addicted... It's like heroin is warning you but if you don't heed the warnings it'll punish you!

saying that, I've puked like 9 times today from the heroin i have, its so fucking strong!! just ate a strip of rennies and the puking doesn't even bother me as its not acidic :D

Its wierd but I was on very high doses of major opiates for 20 years and never puked once. The only time I ever puked was in wds and even then just with certain opiates (morphine wds allways made me puke).

Medically 10mg IV metoclopramide is almost always given before IV morphine to stop vomiting. Its also available as oral tablets. Maybe you could get hold of some. Would knock the vomiting right on the head.

Don't treat 3-FPM any differently than you would Meth.
It will fuck you just as hard overall, but is so insidiously sinister in that it isn't as blatant or acute as Meth toxicity. Very, very easy to convince yourself you're holding it all together... you're not addicted... your mental health hasn't declined in any way... your interpersonal relations are just the same as before... you have more hobbies than sourcing your gear and consuming it endlessly...

Meth is perfect in its ability to complete dissolve one's identity, blowing out the entire catecholamine system (SNDRA acting both pre- and post-synaptically) scrambles signalling in the brain itself and throughout the entire body with a predilection for the Basal Ganglia, PFC, VTA, Medulla, Cerebellum, and Hippocampus - a complete inability to accurately interpret sensory information, form complete memories, judge risk and reward, interact socially, control impulses, coordinate breathing, regulate temperature, or even control the bowels is a tragically cyclic scenario.
If that's not enough, new research suggests Meth can cripple the BBB, induce cellular suicide (apoptosis, self-destruction) and inhibit liver function allowing Ammonia to flood the system.
 
@ space junk on our news the other night was a story about a bricklayer from Brisbane ( I think ) got stopped by the police and had some weed , meth and Coke on him.
When then looked into his bank account he had billions he couldn't account for. Is it big news over there. ?

You'd be amazed how the muscle/gym culture is blended with meth-using circles as well.
Fucking weird, if you ask me. It plays into the obsessive, energetic nature of the drug i guess.

I get the impression that meth is popular amongst the bodybuilding crowd over here.
For a while methed up musle boys were a thing to contend with at occasional music festivals, and i guess there is something i find a bit unsettling about gangs of massive dudes on meth. It's not a drug culture i've gotten close enough to to ever understand. Meth makes people weird.
I used to take meth, but my dealer sold mainly to people in and on the fringes of the music scene, so it was a whole other thing.

But the term "gym junkie" has a different connotation to me now.
