^ You're making me want to go out there again. Last time I lived here, I used to go on trips with the Sacramento and Bay Area Sierra clubs.

Here's a snap of me and a buddy up in the Welsh mountains earlier this year. Excuse the poor image quality.

where are people at? where are you gonna be? where do you want to go?

This is pretty much an obsessive passion of mine, photo's look great.. would love to visit Vietnam and SEA eventually.

I'm back home now, but i was travelling and living in Europe for two years.. i lived in Hungary for about one year and managed to travel to just over 30 countries within the continent through hitch-hiking, train's and bus's. I found the former soviet countries interesting and spent much of my time in that region of Europe..

Some highlights were when me and a friend i worked with hitch-hiked our way through the Balkans towards central Albania to seek out an abandoned military base that had entire bunkers built into the mountains filled with old fighter planes.. it was a known fact that the runway was been used by the Albanian Mafia to smuggle drugs into Italy and due to political corruption it was allowed, unfortunately for us due to upcoming elections the government introduced preventative measures two weeks prior by placing large cinder blocks onto the run-way and stationing a small military personal at the site.. so when we arrived it was impossible to sneak in.

Another was when crossing the border from Macedonia into Kosovo, an enormous explosion occurred on the mountain side.. sending dust and debre hundreds of meters into the air, i believe it was only a military exercise.. but it was a sight to behold.

I will be remaining in Australia for the next 2-3 years, at which point i then want to head towards the Himalayas and do some trekking and explore Nepal. Ideally i would like to travel from SEA to Europe without planes.. avoiding the middle-east and heading through China upto Russia and across.. it would be a logistical nightmare but i would love to try and do it.

I took these photos from within the exclusion zone of Chernobyl in Ukraine, this is the town of Pripyat which was 3km from the reactor.

EDIT:

For some reason the photo links keep breaking, so i'll just leave one up.

we staid in a 9th floor walk up across the street from pere lachaise for most of the time, and in a CRAZY EXPENSIVE (that we didn't pay for thank god) hotel in the "central business district"(?) for a few days.

this year we're thinking about visiting our friends in Italy - so some time in Milan and then in Rome. My vote was for Vienna but Italy is a good one too. Guess we're going to go hard on the old world.

I may end up in the Mediterranean later this year. Don't wanna say too much as it's still unsure. Keeping my fingers crossed...

dope stuff yall, wish i had something recent to share but haven't been anywhere in a few years :(

Tie between France or Japan. so much to see in both.
If i went to either one it'd be for at least 2 weeks tho.

I would like to start a self-sufficient artists' colony in Antarctica. Who knows, with global warming, it might work.

Antarctica. we almost got there when I visited Ushuaia but the weather didn't allow us to go further.
