is it wrong

Oh man, this is a topic that could invite some serious non constructive controversy. This thread will be closed in a second if the discussion degenerates to name calling, etc.

OP, I gather from your other posts that you are quite young and are still coming to terms with your sexuality.

I myself am a Christian, and honestly, as a true Christian, the only person's actions I will have to account for are my own. Many people who call themselves Christians will tell you it is wrong. Others will say "love the sinner, hate the sin"

Ultimately, it is up to you to figure out what is right for you. Don't bother listening to what others have to say about this issue...it is your sexuality. It is between you and God. It is no one else's business at all.

I will tell you that the Christian group who made it their mission to "convert" homosexuals has now disbanded, and their leader has issued a statement denouncing their work as harmful and opposite to the goals of Christianity. I agree wholeheartedly with this.

Again, speaking from a Christianity standpoint, we are all sinners. One sin is not any worse than another. I am not even trying to say that being gay is a sin. I am just saying that no other person is in any position at all to judge you for who you are.

What I think all the adherents of the world's major religions should acknowledge and accept is that the Bible/Quran/Torah were written by men. They're not the word of God. No one can speak for God. So if the Bible (based on the Torah; I don't know about the Quran) says that men can't lie with men, that's men saying that. Not God! Even though other people have told you that you're a sinner, that's just what some people say. The truth is between you and God, and your faith is based what you believe in your heart and what your actions are with respect to other living beings.

To beachcat thanks for reading my posts and yes I'm young I'm still in my teens and thanks for ur responce to my op it really helped me

The important thing is to love God. He knows you & loves you. You are human you are not divine so your sexuality can not be described as at sin if God created you. This does not mean you can do whatever you like it means you should use Jesus as your model for living.

There is nothing wrong with you.

It begs the question of course, is there something wrong then with the religion. You need to answer that one for yourself.

Isn't there a gay christian website? Or websites..? I feel as though it's quite common now.

Well, I'm against organized religions...
Nothing is wrong with being gay though. Or bi. That is perfectly fine.

Ok idk if this should go here or religion but
Is it wrong that I'm christian but I'm bi/gay

If you believe your religion, and your specific sect/branch, then I suggest you seek counsel from several advisers within your specific church.

If specific sect/branch isn't important to you, then I suggest you shop around for a church that supports your sexuality.

True christians (to be christian you must believe in the bible - and the bible says the act of laying with another man is hell-worthy) well tell you you are going to hell.. that homosexuality is a disease..

I say fuck them. Believing in religion (as the ancient texts put it) is the most common, and possibly oldest, psychological illness going.

Also, there is no hell. Just man's failing attempt at enslaving itself using fairytales.

I believe that if there is a god, then god is only love, and I can't imagine that a god who is absolute love would ever not acknowledge or not tolerate an individual based upon his or her sexual preference.

Thanks people I feel a bit better now that ik that it really doesn't matter that I'm bi/gay as long as I believe in god, jesus, and the bible:)

I think this was very well put - we are all drawn to sin - having homosexual tendencies makes you no worse than those with heterosexual tendencies. Truth is Christianity opposes all sexual desires before marriage... Heterosexual and homosexual desires:

Corinthians 6:9 said:
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals

"Fornicators", clearly referring to heterosexual sexual relations.

So if you are in the wrong, so is every heterosexual... we're all in the wrong really...that's why we're on this planet together - we must all face sin and conquer it.

We all develop sexual desires - and they vary greatly. So there's nothing wrong in being gay or heterosexual, it's only natural and to be expected. However, a Christian faith should inspire conifidence for you not to fulfil these lustful desires, but to identify the perverse nature and overcome them.

^ Don't listen to him, op.

Sleeping with another, of age, consensual male or female is not wrong and something that should be fulfilled rather than overcome.

You're not hurting anybody.

See, this is why discussions like this piss me off sometimes. First of all, nowhere in the Bible does it say that if you are gay, you are going to hell. No where. What it does say is that we are ALL sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God. If you happen to believe in the New Testament like I do, the only way any of us can acheive salvation is through the grace of God.

I think naughtynicknails, you were trying to demonstrate how open minded you are by calling people who believe in religion "psychologically ill" but it really just demonstrates how closed minded you are. A true Christian would never condemn someone for being gay because, as I stated earlier, the only person we have to account for at the end is ourselves.

I don't really care what anyone else believes, I know what is true for myself and I am fine with that. But please don't ridicule people who believe differently as you as being mentally ill...in my opinion that is just as bad as ridiculing someone for being gay, which would not be tolerated here.

1 Cor 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God

We're all fucked.

And no I wasn't trying to prove how open mindedness I am at all. I dislike religion with a passion. I don't have personal problems with religoUS people, as long as they don't try and push their wild ass beliefs on other people - especially children - through indoctrination at home (parents to kids) or schools (creationism taught in schools).
