Presumably just in black & blue, but I can't decide where. I wouldn't want it too big at all, like maybe 5x2 cm. I was thinking inside of my wrist, but the problem is it would have to be the right one (I have a scar from an old infected track mark on the left so would probably be weird. Can you get tats over scars? Would it just cover it up really well?) and I've already got a pretty big one on my right upper arm and I'm planning on getting a sentence wrapped around the rest of the arm. So it would be a bit much.

Soooo I'm looking for ideas...I've thought about lower back/inside of hip/back of neck and all the typical girly places for a small tat like that but I really would like it to be more visible. But no forehead or anything :D (and I need to be able to hide it for job interviews etc.).
It's a shame cuz I feel like wrist is the only place where such a small one would look good and would still be visible often enough. Thoughts?
 
Don't go visible with a big tat unless you are sure it's still going to look as cool as you think it does now in 30 years .
 
I can't quite picture that as a tatt, Pagey. As such I can be of no use in suggesting placement. Maybe when you get the artwork drawn up it will be easier to picture? If not forehead maybe eyeball then. Eyeballs on yer eyeballs. Wiv spex on. Could be a winner. It could :D

Saw this t'other day and made me titter somewhat. You really can't buy class can you. Do hope he's getting freebies for those - certainly looks like he is :D

I can't picture that as a tat. either maybe if i saw the stencil it would make sense .

Maybe it's cuz of the color in the background - it would only be the glasses and eyes. I've done kinduv a rough drawing of it, it would definitely work. (I'll upload a pic at some point)
 
I was thinking the same about Pagey's tat. I can't see how that works as a tattoo at all.

Edit - Leaving tabs open for ages has snookered me again. I understand now.

Except I would want the frames black, bigger and closer together...well I would want it exactly like in the picture I already posted, but in this same kinda format. If that makes sense.

(That being said I find this one pretty ugly, it's just to give you an idea. Mine would look better =D)

You can easily cover a scar with a tattoo. You want it to be healed a bit. My artist tells people two years but I waited a few months and everything went fine with covering my scars.

If you want to get a tattoo I suggest thinking about it for a long time before you get it. I also think it is very important to find an artist you are comfortable with. Check out their portfolios. Also if you do not have a good report with the artist chances are you will get a shitty tattoo.

Once you get tattoos that people can always see you will get weird reactions like stares and even people touching your tattoo. I remember falling asleep and waking up to a woman sticking her finger through my stretched ears.

I didn't know so many people on bluelight were into body modification. I am pretty close to having complete full sleeves on my arms.
 
Was wondering about tattoos and scars. I got loads on my left arm, and was hoping I could get em covered. Only one was deep enough to require stitches, the rest are just like tiny white lines.

Not had any tattoos in ages, really want one but finances don't really permit. I did do my own with a needle and Indian ink just for the fuck of it, but they're barely noticeable and on the insides of my middle fingers anyway.

I had really nasty scars. I used to use a 26 gauge 3cc rig at least 3 times a day. I had a scars from my bicep down to my wrist and I was able to cover em easily. Believe me when I say I had some heavy duty scars. They covered up just fine.

I should add it helps to soften them up a bit with something like mederma and maybe take some oatmeal baths. The smoother and softer your skin is, the easier it is to tattoo. I am sure the scars caused a bit more work for my tattoo artist.

To cover up scars its best to go with color and detailed tattoos.
 
Cheers for the info, never spoken to anyone who's actually done it, was worried I was doomed to have them on show for the rest of me life. Gives me a bit more room to work with too :D
