Where Do You Work? - Where Do You Want To Work?

I work in a video store and i have to quote someone who i spoke with the other nite who called it the "retail nirvana". Basically, my job consists of socialising, putting dvds back on the shelf, listening to my own music and serving customers. On those quiet nites you can even watch a whole movie without interruption.

It's also a good place to pick up. As a job, I'd reccomend it.

i want your job!!

i'm still a stupid servo boy, but as of december i'll be getting paid to edit the uni magazine and spend our rather large budget on random shit that i want ;)

no, it will be good. not quite a dream job, but it's a far fucking cry from working in a petrol station.

I work two jobs...

one just doing casual at the movies in the city...free movies and nothing particularly dirty to do...pretty sweet really...

I also do the marketing for a small graphic design company...heh, they give me a business card and that's what matters!

I've still got one more year go at uni, but after that I would like a job in marketing, for a company I love (music industry, car company, blah blah) but I'll probably have to move to Sydney or Melbourne.

I'd also like to be a feature writer - but don't want to do shit kicker writing (as Anna! said) to get there, hopefully enter it as an expert later on....lallala...

My ultimate dream would be to be a writer...but I don't think it would keep me debt free in the lifestyle to which I've become accustomed!

I am a civil engineer and work as a contract maqnager in a road construction company. Big title does not mean all that much but good perks, free car petrol phone etc.

My ideal job would be a sport tour organiser travelling the world...... ah dreams;)

I am a prawn farmer! More specifically, an assistant pond manager, for the biggest prawn farm in Australia. Yay! No, it's fairly shit house job really.

Ever had Crystal Bay prawns? Thank me next time you eat em. Mary Donaldson had em at her wedding. If they're good enough for her they're good enough for you, go buy some today.

I'd rather work somewhere closer to the city instead of this shitty little town. Still in aquaculture tho, coz that's my thing :)

I manage a warehouse for transport company that delivers furniture to Harvey Norman and Oz Design stores in country Victoria from thier Sydney suppliers. I moved from Melbourne to take the job on so as a perk i live in the warehouse rent and bill free. On the downside i am basically always on call and my hours can be totally fucked.

As for my ideal job, i used to be a mechanic and still have an avid interest in motor sport, so i would love to be a part of a Formula 1 or World Rally team's technical crew.

IT administrator for a primary school - keep everything running smoothly.

Tarp-IT tarpaulin repair dude - you know those giant blue/yellow & red/yellow tarpaulins you see on houses being built? I repair those....

Where do I want to work? As either a promotions manager for a big gaming (pc/console) company!

Either that or lead designer....we shall see...

I am going to resign tomorrow.

Unemployment, here i come!!!!!!

I am actually looking forward to it!!!

I have decided that once my arm heals Im going to join the Army. Im sick of labouring and its not getting me anywhere, what better way to defend your home land AND get a trade than the Defence force?

Ill still do security pending acceptance/refusal from the army, if Im not accepted ill probably get an apprenticeship bricklaying or something.. a qualified brickie can earn $36 an hour on a commercial project - a comfortable wage by my humble standard :)

Either way

chik, unemployment is amazingly boring, trust me, it fecking sucks.

at the moment, i'd like to work in admin, or other office stpy work. it's easy and pays the bills.
ultimately, i have no idea what i want to do. is traveler a form of occupation?

I work at a board shop selling surfboards, skateboards and of course snowboards. I do a lot of the buying and testing for the snowboard gear on behalf of the shop, meeting the reps from companies and checking out new products early.

Ideally I would like to be working in either the marketing department or testing equipment for a rider driven snowboard company. Ideally Burton Snowboards. A man can dream...
