Megathread What's the worst movie you've ever seen?

10m.jpg

A word. What is the pervert? Sex freak, deranged degenerate, disturbed diabolical psychotic subversive embracer of things both erotic and erratic. What is to pervert? The twist of an object, phrase or ideal in such a way it was never intended or even imagined. Who is the pervert? Why, that's another story altogether... A young man (Sean Andrews as "James") comes to spend the summer at the remote desert ranch of his father (Darrell Sandeen as "Hezekiah") in hopes of repairing their estranged relationship only to find that he's become a psychotic madman. But who is responsible for the bizarre murders James has uncovered? Hezekiah pins the blame on his son, and after a series of unexplainable incidents, James begins to doubt his own suspicions. Little does he know that the real killer lurks just under his nose!

yeah...awful

AR: Please feel free to do so. Although, certainly I didn't mean it was bad because it was made by straight people. In all honesty it is the for straight people part that I wished to emphasize. Please read my review on the film in this forum. My main issue with it is that it unrelatable and puts homosexuality in a setting in which it can be watched "from a safe distance".

^ Sorry if I jumped, I'm in a Queer Theory through Film class. So I'm on my toes. ;)

dude, if it were made by gay people, it'd just be 2 hours of sex, with perhaps a few discos thrown in for more people to get in on the action.

brokeback mountain was awesome imo. can't wait for ang lee's next. neither can the wifey.

^ So gay/queer film has to be made by gay people? Then, does African American history have to be written by African Americans as well?

I think the criticism of Brokeback Mountain was that it was the chick flick equivalent of "lesbian" porn for straight men

Magnolia. It shocks me that people tout this as one of the greatest films of the 20th or 21st century.

St. Trinian's. I kinda watched it (I was working on something else as well) and the 10 minutes I spent were too much!
It was more retarded British version of "Scary Movie"

It's a toss up between 10000 BC and Titanic.

I didn't even bother to remember the movie's name. Maybe you guys can help me out. I only watched like the first 5 or 10 minutes. There was like a saber- toothed Amy Whinehouse

Jeepers Creepers
Lepercauhn: In the hood
Mario movie
Jaws: The Revenge
Speed 2

Then some movie where they start off camping and they go back and each get picked off 1 by 1 and towards the end some little girl says to the main character "PANCAKES, PANCAKES" and starts doing kung fu towards the guy, that might have even been Jeepers Creepers.

I didn't like Jeepers Creepers either. I don't like horror movies as a rule, but that one was bad. I couldn't believe they were actually making another one.

I posted The Stupids way back when, which has recently been dethroned by Dirty Love. Honorable mention goes to Bio-Dome.

The following are roughly tied:
--Corky Romano
--Epic Movie
--The Village (A pretentious insult.)
--Caligula (This movie has fans, I know. It takes all kinds...)

Caligula is one of my favorite movies. I hafta fast forward through some of the non-freaky scenes.

Worst movie though, I've seen alot...Harriet the Spy, High school musical 1+2, steaven seagal zombie movie that came out a couple years ago, slumdog millionaire.

I second 10,000 B.C. For all the money they had at their disposal, the final product was a DISASTER of the highest calibur. Terrible plot, terrible acting, boring visuals.

Polaroid (2019)

Another horror/ghost film. Utter drivel. So shit I just didn't bother watching after about 40 mins and sped through it. The plot is meaningless and stupid and you'll probably hate the total lack of any kind of logic for anything as well. Avoid.

1/10

Saw that on Netflix a month or so ago. I concur, it’s a HUGE piece of shit! I went ahead and finished that turd since I was already far enough into it.
I’d give it a zero point zero. Super lame. It wasn’t even worth making.

So the above was taken from 'what have you seen lately' and made me think there HAS to be a worst movie thread...so here we are >BUMP<

While I'll admit to having watch a ton of utter crap, I don't believe I've ever quit on a movie. No matter how awful, I feel I must watch to the end and receive my full punishment. With that, two stand out in my mind. The first is

Barbarians (1987)

In that a buddy of mine and I went in and were the only ones in the theater for it...and rightfully so. Consider, weightlifting twins doing their own version of Conan the Barbarian. But without plot, dialogue, or ...really, I can't remember anything from it other than nobody wanted to see it in theater.

However, I hold the following as the absolute worst in that it actually had decent named actors (John Candy, Peter Cook, MIckey Rooney) so it brought expectations. Horrible....absolutely horrible!

Find The Lady (1976)

Haha! Peter and David Paul were quite famous (in bodybuilding circles) back in the 80s and early-mid 90s. I had a bit of a crush on them when I was in my early teens, but even so I thought this film was embarrassingly awful. They clearly tried (and failed) to take a leaf out of Arnie's book, but neither has the least talent for acting and it shows.

That's Cabin Fever, it was a karate boy, and you are wrong, because it's awesome.

Even a decade later.

ESPECIALLY a decade later.

I absolutely dislike horrormovies with a passion. I'm more of a romantic comedy type guy.
