No time for movies right now I’m at the old apartment cleaning and desperately trying to find ways to cover up damage done by the previous owner that I know they’ll try and gouge me for. Tomorrow night I shall return to movie watching!

This gives me a sad. I f'n LOVE Ice-T as an 80's rapper, and wish him well with his acting career but just don't see it as quality in film or tv. No surprise, then, he'd have been in a bad horror film like Leprechaun, much less the FIFTH in the series. A series, btw, which I have seen ZERO of to date (by intent...don't make me do it). Still, I miss my hardcore rapper.

I thought it sucked when he did law and order I hate that show I don't get how high ppl can watch that show I get ptsd from the pig
 
Straight guy here😜 but yea, Midway. Very well depicted attack on Pearl Harbor (bastards!) Graphics are out of this world too. It was tough to even take a piss break. Unlikely role for Woody Harrelson bit he hit it. Worth a see.

Similar to ''Cube'', this is what makes the most out of it. It shows humanity in the current state, where the Cube failed, ''The Platform'' doesn't. It's not about special effects, it's about story-telling. A movie that allows the viewer to make their own visions.

Cube didn't fail, I love those movies, but I love them for the scifi/mystery and for the cool traps in some of the Cubes, rather than human commentary (although I did notice they all have a military black guy who gets violent and rapey)).
So the Platform is like Cube, but they're all on a mystery platform? And no traps etc? Still sounds interesting. Is it easy to fund with English Subtitles?

The last movie I watch was actually Cube Zero. I loved it again. I first watched it at 14 and the open-scene trap almost made me not watch it it was so horrible. Glad I watched it, though. It's cool to see what's going on behind the Cube, too. For some reason I'm currently obsessed with Necrotizing Fasciitis atm (maybe because I watched a rerun of Cabin Fever (2016) last week and one of the traps in this one is a highly infections form of NF.

Midway was pretty decent, but I feel it stretched itself thin trying to cover the entire war in the Pacific. I enjoyed the Jap perspective though.

And c’mon man, anyone who studied WWII in depth knows that the US pressured Japan into conflict by cutting off their oil supply. Yes Pearl Harbor was a tragedy... but they say it in like the very first scene of the film lol.

Side note: they have a whole museum dedicated to Admiral Nimitz in Fredericksburg. I’ve been to it, it’s pretty cool actually 👍

Doesn't interest me. I can get the gist of the social commentary without having to view the film or its disturbing imagery. I.E. trickle down economics doesn't work, and is inhumane.

It's in English subs on Netflix - I found it easy to follow. It's worth watching.

I don't wanna spoil the movie, it's a platform that bring foods but that's why I've said ''The movie allows the viewer to make their own visions''. As for Cube, yeah, even though most people seem to hate the sequels. I think it will still be remembered years from now on, years, that's a cult movie. Better than Saw/Better than Fermat's Room. Saw's bullshit, btw. Just a discombobulated gore fest fuck all non-sense.
