in my city, a club had a dance party on friday night with special dj's and shit, and the place was overun with the regular police officers from around town. but they had there party clothes on. pretty funny seeing 30 plus year olds at a hard dance party. some of them you could even see there police notebooks in there back pocket. they looked hopeless, but i still didnt want to get picked out for a searcch even though i had nothing on me. therte was atleast 10 that i saw. not sure what or if they got anyone, but there was unconfirmed rumours of them searching people all night. they just didnt seem to know wat they were doing. sorry for the long post.

Don't think you're going to be rockin out to your fav DJ and notice Lassie is suddenly right next to you...

It usually goes like this, undercovers (the real ones u can't pick not the "plain clothes" who are getting around at the moment) come in and scope out a few primary suspects. They stick around them then the club gets raided, lights up (time to drop your shit on the floor discreetly), suspects get grabbed an escorted out for searches and as you leave you get to walk past the dogs.

If you are "detected" you get searched. I have been sniffed by dogs with a couple of pills in my shoe and gotten through but I know others who haven't.

if you're talking bout bexta friday night, that was pretty pathetic i walked into the toilets n they were searching everyone pretty funny actually i walked out of the toilets and asked them if a coppa was there i knew lol i think they were a bit stunned with the state i was in, but seriously they were really really pathetic

yeah it was that night that i was talking about. it put a dampener on the night coz you had not as much fun worrying bout them. i saw one out the front with gloves on holding a big plastic bag with people with him. not sure wat he was up to? its a shame we cant go out and have fun without being hassled.

mmm, never really seen it happen that way in the clubs ive been at, cops usually just come in with a dog or 2, and start walking through the club sniffing everyone, anyone the dog picks out gets taken out side and held around until they have finished then they get searched as the dog sits just after the entrance to the club so its to late for you to turn around when you see it.

Mr Sparkle: I know the exact club your talking about, Your id name reminds me of a dj thats played there b4....Yeah,It toatally suxs there lately! I've been hit up for round ones so much there it's not funny! And im always blind drunk and full of red bull and tequillas so im always dancing my ass off all nite long,Allot of the times with a bottle of water in my hand also... I go there for the good music and great atmosphere!
And those minging kunts make our nites feel uncomfortable and ordinary!

Undercover cops are usually easy to spot. I was in a Sydney club last year, and there was this guy standing by himself. He looked about 30, was wearing very respectable clothes and had a crew cut. Stood out so much! You could see his eyes moving shiftily, eyeing everyone. Every so often he would remember that he was supposed to look like a clubber, and would bop a little to the music for a few seconds. Very funny!

heh that not THAT easy to spot all the time

I went to visit my mum at her work near the valley for lunch one day and she pointed out two guys and asked if I had ever seen them before out clubbing.
I asked why and she said they were undercover officers.
This actually blew me away as one of the really looked like someone that you'd see at a rave.

And I have seen my fair share of undercovers at clubs, and alot certainly stick out like dogs balls, but these ones seriously made me re-evaluate what I look for.

And also in saying that I have alot of older friends that are'nt ravers, but enjoy going out and getting munted, they wear button-up shirts and whatnot but I can assure you they are not cops.
What do you think is more suss, an older dude (40's-50's) wearing a button collar shirt, or someone of the same age dressed like a fucking candy kid

^^ yeah, whilst i have spotted plenty of undercovers over the years, and usually there pretty bad, but i dont think we give them enough credit.

I think the problem is the good ones are the one u can never 'spot'. I know we all like to think cops are stupid, but seriously- they do this for a living, they should know how to dress, act, hold and talk. Its the ones you cant spot as a cop that you should worry bout :0.

Yeah i can also point out that iv seen undercovers in clubs that are very well hidden, I only relised when an "Obvious" made contact with him. Heres a good thing to go off however.....They never have a drink with them . Next time one of you are asked see if they wanner have a shot. See what they say .

* There was three *couples* - but strangely enough they never kissed or were intimate over the entire night.
* When one guy introduced himself to me and my girl - he wrote our names in his mobile phone! What the fuck?

Since when did age dictate what music you're allowed to listen to? My mum, who's in her mid 50s loves old skool techno, she loves house, she loves country...all sorts of music (including a lot I can't stand! )

And how did you know they were actual couples? Maybe they're just friends? Or maybe they're not the sort who snog in the corner of the club like a couple of 15 year olds.

And went you're munted you've never wandered up and struck up a conversation? I'm tipping a lot of us have, and if they're straight we're going to sound like idiots.

And since when did the lack of 'correct' slang mean anything? I've never in my life said I'm fucking chopped...and trust me, I have been there.

The point I'm trying to make is that while undoubtedly there are undercover cops, and even just plain-clothed cops in clubs, not everyone who doesn't fit in is a cop. The REAL cops you'll never, ever pick. Trust me, having worked in the club industry for 10+ years I've had a close relationship with cops, including a couple of undercovers, and never, ever, ever would you pick them.

So instead of thinking your safe because you can pick them out, how about you're smart and don't do anything stupid in front of anyone.

As I said, maybe he's just different to you? Could be a sailor in port (might explain the haircut)...probably isn't going to have a pair of phatties on board with him? Maybe he's nervous because he's by himself, recently single, on his 1st pill...who knows, but FFS be smart and be careful, don't assume you can pick them out, because if you're wrong, you could be spending some time with Bubba in a cell.

Point taken Bent - in actual fact only a few weekends ago I was chatting to a 37 year old raver chick that still gets into her hardcore trance.
But - fair go, whilst yes you are right - you can't make any hard and fast rules about what type of people attend different events, and how people will act at these events, the observations I made were certainly enough to cause concern.
But as you said - if you have nothing on you, and your not doing anything stupid, then you have nothing to worry about...

^^ A couple of weeks ago i was absolutely chopped of my nut , sitting in a tree outside [*A well known club*] . 3 undercovers came over and told me to climb down from the tree . Fucking pissed me off i was in such a comfortable spot . They took down my name and address along with a few others that were near by . They didnt search me which was a surprise , i had nothing on me anyways .
I had a suspision that they could tap into my phone line now that they had my address ? maybe im just being paranoid.
They were dressed formally , so would have stuck out if they came into the *** or ****.
I fucks me off how they target personal users . eeerrrrrrrr i dont know where to start ....... we dont cause anyone harm .We just know how to enjoy life a little .....and whats the point of living if you dont enjoy it !!!

That tree is always full of friendly people ... one time i counted 12 people in it ..
