What is the most addictive substance?

Tobacco. It's just too easy to get and use. You know the price, no shady people with guns giving out a questionable substance in a questionable and out-of-the-way territory. It never seriously messes with your schedule, so you can like use it almost everywhere outside. It's ready-made to use and requires little technique. There are varieties. Helps you blow off real steam. Doesn't seem that strong until you try to quit and immediately get flu-like symptoms that really does impact your daily function.

It's always basically a block away. No illegal bs in sum.

Was awesome in the beginning, basically everything about it, now my wallet is light, my body is going, its disgusting, and it makes me depressed whenever I'm not using. And when I am, it's not at all as it was at first, but rather I just feel normal and somewhat euthymic.

Not to mention outside of certain subcultures it's definitely looked down on.

Oxymorphone, hands down. The first time I did it I thought "this is what the rest of my life should be like"

Heroin for 4 years (18 years clean)

Then Diazepam, Tramadol, Zopiclone for 4 or 5 years (almost one year clean, till I took a few Xanax, still no diazepam though)

Now Ketamine is my DOC

I'd like to try oxys but know I'd like them to much so good job it's not a UK thing

tobacco and alcohol for me are the two things that have held true through thick and thin. 12 years addicted and finally i'm away from the ones that took my life over. but tobacco and alcohol are still dear to me. accessibility and acceptability are huge factors for why they are so hard to quit. for me anyways.

@codydion and your faves are both legal, everyone else has to struggle to get money for their illegal drugs, find a trusted dealer, risk getting arrested, risk getting ripped off, risk death from a OD or having a hit that turns them into a dribbling mentally handicapped shell that can't do anything for themselves and need a carer for rest of their life

Buying my DOC is a pain in the arse, if there was a K shop I'd be one of thier best customers lol

Yeah, the war on drugs does more harm than drugs. It has monumentally failed, and it introduces so much more harm and risk into the lives of drug users.

Yes. IV coke was definitely the most addictive but in a short term kind of way. Get a month away from it and you’re safe. Meth on the other hand keeps knocking on the door years later to check if you are still keen. You are....

Certainly it has failed greatly to reduce the availability and use of drugs. It has succeeded greatly in increasing the power of governments, giving them a scapegoat for various political issues, and increasing the wealth and power of alcohol, tobacco, and pharma lobbies.

Real question is what was the true motivation behind the policy to begin with? I think many will agree that it always was a political game. They know they won't ever stop people using drugs. But this "war" is too politically useful and makes too much money for lobbies, who in turn fund political campaigns, for the state to admit the truth.

Basically it's just corruption all the way down and I think it's by design.

To update my answer to the question at hand: oxy, but if I had better access to morphine it would have been that instead. Fuck opiates.

I can control myself with any other drug I've tried but opiates are like Pringles - once you pop you just can't stop!

Nicotine, Cocaine, Pharma- and RC-Benzos and Weed. I tried Heroin
two times nasally but it was such a nothing that's why I 1. never take it again and 2. there are better things to take ;)

benzos.

crack is crazy addictive or reinforcing in a weird way though. like someone said about iv coke, it’s all about initial distance. one of the stupidest ideas i’ve ever had is saving a hit for the morning.

Everyone is different. I never had crack, I never i.v.d anything. But the fucking Benzos, they are so nice but I have to get rid of these little devils that fuck my brain and make me stupid....

Sweet intoxicating words of my girl

This.

Substance related? On a compulsive nature, Methamphetamine. I did it for like six months and was not interested in any other drugs the entire time. But after a binge you can turn it off or stop altogether rather easily. I decided it was not for me. I did not like the person I was during that time. Now true addiction is oral Opium. My Dark Mistress for 15 years. It becomes not even a question of if I need it. I thought of it like I thought of water or food. It was part of what made me function. Full spectrum addiction. It helps everything and will take everything away if you stop, leaving you a puddle of your former self.

I do miss what Opium did to my personality. It made me so charming!

Fuck it.

I would still take any withdrawal over being heartbroken, but that is a different subject.

My Ex ( self proclaimed princess pornstar nympho) Kools, and Cartel Ice.
Order TBD
few pages back iv coke was mentioned; danced with in my early 20's
Loved it but knew that song had to end.
Dopamine the ultimate addictive substance IMO.
Humans not meant to feel that good, and it's unforgettable.

I still remember those Kools commercials from the 90's. Makes me want a menthol cigarette now and I don't even smoke anymore. Goes well with meth too.

Maybe I'm a princess pornstar nympho... fuck

SSRI:s (escitalopram) after 11 years of use. It fucked up my nervous system, and after 2 years stopping (i tapered) I still struggle with hypersensitivity, pssd, fatigue, poor stress resilence, chronic pain and stomach problems, to name a few.

I find hard to beat a weekly drinking habit also. And cigarettes. Weed also I guess.
