What if pills didnt have logos?

Just reading back over a few posts from "back in the day" (2003 - haha), i stumbled upon this question which was in a thread with someone saying how bored they were with the Red Threes (the best pills i've ever had)

I wonder if as many people would take pills if they had no colour or press. If they were just plain white, flat, boring white... Colors and press are used to keep people interested! Hehehe..

It really asked me, is the logo that is on someone's pill more important than the contents these days?
All i hear is people saying "i got some (green mitsubishis or something like that) and i hear they are amazing". Later i get this "Worst pill ever".
I think BT really shed some light on a great ideal, what if everyone had testers to actually check what was in their "wicked" pills, and their not so wicked pills (worst pill ever).



PS: Bring back the Red/Orange Threes. I miss them dearly, no matter how jaded it sounds - i have not since had a pill that was near the quality of those!
 
the red 3's of 2003 were definately the bomb, lucky for me it was my first pill, and your right, there haven't been many pills that have come close since.
 
It simply works exactly the same way as branding and marketing in the commercial world, but with absolutely no rules or regulations.
 
No matter wether pills have different logos or colours there will always be different variations in strength and therefore be exactly the same. Just would be an absolute bitch to tell if you got a shit bickie or good bickie before hand.
 
I only ever took pills that were pretty . . . anyway, its probably the same deal with LSD blotters, nice pictures/colours attract people. Logo's are helpful for identifying contents of a pill, but certainly not foolproof....
 
Best pill i took i forgot to look at the logo and my friend too
all i know is it was yellow but im not sure because of the light

Yeah pill culture is as obsessed with the logo as it is with the substance. I'm a bit partial to the novelty of different brands and curious to find out for myself what different brands are really like. For instance if two brands containing large doses of MDMA come out at the same time and im sure from bl, pill reports and friends that one has a bit higher dose than the other rather than buying the stronger ones twice i'll buy the stronger ones first time then the weaker ones the next even though this isn't really logical.

Something i think is really stupid with brands though is that some people have the idea like you need a good brand to have a great mdma/mda experience. Depending on your tastes you might need a clean mdma/mda pill to have a good time but theres always some clean mdma pills around and nearly always clean mda pills so do your research, buy these and if they're not that strong then just double dump them or whatever depending on your tolerance, you really don't need an awesome brand to have a classic night.
 
They never used to have logos when I started taking them :|
 
I like to try pills with a new logo or whatever, but if i found out there was a pure or very good mdma pill with no logo that looked dodgy it wouldn't matter i would still get it over a good mitzi or panda :\
 
It no different to ppl buying a sony stereo over a brand they've never heard of. Just because they've never heard of them doesn't mean they are crap. Some of the world's best audio equipment brands are hardly heard of in australia.

Marketing will always win over a good product. Like VHS and Betamax. Apple and Windows etc etc...

And unfortunately I have to agree with the above statement, although the first users impression is immediately passed on to their friends and word subsequently spreads quick. Why do you think there are often the same pills not too much later along that are weaker, or occasionally bunk?

Buying pills without a logo would be damn hard. Logos/colours do help somewhat in distinguishing whether the pills is from a good/bad batch. Not foulproof of course, but if I'm out and some1 offers me a Green Mitsu or 'insert shit pill name here' and I've done my pillreports reading, I'm likely to grab the GM...know what I mean?!
 
If pills had no logo mabey people would be more inclined to test them before buying/consuming.
It does seem that amongst the "non bluelight educated" peeps the logo of a pill is important. I heard some one say that rolls royce cars are better than mitsubishis therefore pills must follow suit. !

I was at a mates a few weeks ago helping him install a car stereo. When the back seats were removed he found a bag of (6) Red 3's in his car. Muhuhhahaha! The one I had put me on my arse! I forgot I had them in halves back in '03

I've been munching pills without logos all year. Blanks and/or amsterdams are usually some of the best pills going around IMHO.

Logos don't mean shit to me. I find a lot of people like to trade pills just to eat different logos or what ever. It doesn't interest me at all. I'd much rather eat my own than someone elses that could be anything from vitamin C to PMA 8(

lets admit it, logos will always be part of e culture, i like the whole thing. Needless to say it does make u feel better if you have a pill with a good press and logo...dont deny that
ps. white doves of 2002 were better than 3's lol
 
^I forgot to look at the logo again yesterday , weird thing is pretty good pills but they thook hours to hit me.

The stupid logo is just markething yes kids like candy and if people just make e like candy more kids will pop them.
