SWIM was prescribed 2mg Clonazepam 2 months ago for anxiety, SWIM has a history of Benzodiazepine abuse with the use of valium, xanax, temazepam etc but also uses these medicinally for anxiety, panic attacks, sleeping problems and extreme stress. SWIM takes injectable anti-psychotic drugs for his mental illness and has a natural tolerance for alcohol, he finds it hard to get drunk and experiences little euphoria from drinking possibly because of his medication. SWIM doesn't usually take Benzos every single day but a month ago SWIM took Clonazepam for two weeks starting at 4mg weaning off to .5mg then eventually to zero. He took it at 1-2mg a few times over the coming weeks since weaing off. SWIM has heard that weaning off Benzo's can reduce tolerance but would like to know if it's true. The first time SWIM took Clonazepam 2mg he described it as being like "the first time taking valium" felt euphoric and the Benzo worked wonders for SWIM's anxiety. Last night SWIM took 6mg of Clonazepam recreationally after not using it for a week or 2 and is worried he has ruined his tolerance which is annoying because he would like to use it non-recreationally in the future if he is ever in a severe anxiety state. Does SWIM need to wean off the 6mg of Clonzepam he took last night over the next few days to reduce his possible tolerance for Clonazepam to start working effectively again and to reduce the risk of withdrawel? SWIM also believes he has already built up a Clonzepam tolerance as 6mg did nearly nothing but make him feel tired, slightly spaced out and groggy with little to none euphoria or relaxation.
