Just a quick note to point out that 1,4 & 1,5 benzodiazepines bind to a different junction at the GABA receptor. It seems even neurologists aren't aware of this. If they tell you to just swap overnight, be ready for short-term increase in symptoms and if you have been on one of them a long time, classic withdrawal symptoms (and in someone with epilepsy, that can mean clonic-tonic seizures).

I discovered this the hard way.

ahhhh, who's your neurologist??? My neurologists knew that shit and were able to warn me about switching and did it slow. I've had 4 and all of them knew benzos every which way. I have very severe neuro disorder too that is a form of epilepsy

Damn, i'm sorry. Your doc really should have known to warn you. I don't have epilepsy but had seizures a couple years ago and they were quite frightening (mostly for the pople around me, since i wasn't really aware of them). Hope you're past it now
