I've known Clonidine for a long time for this purpose but I just came accross this study which could be interesting for you as well.

Hmm doesn't gabapentin modulate calcium channels too? Or was it sodium? Lol
 
Its well known to many opioid users that gabapentin pregabalin and phenibut supress WDs better than anything that isnt itself an opioid!

Nice to see the medical community are copping on.
 
A good friend of mine has meddled with amilodipine and reports that it is next to useless for him while he's in WD. He does mention that it's better for using when you take crack cocaine, if that means anything.
