it's white people fantasizing about a time when black influence hadn't taken over everything about high school.

where are the stoners listening to fucking The Chronic? nowhere to be found.

this is the exact same thing that people loved/hated about Juno.

^^^yea, that was another real piece of shit...god i hated that movie. big ups 2 u girl, on the same page with u for sure.

When Moulin Rogue ripped off popular songs, I saw the artistic merit of it. When Glee rips off popular songs, it makes me want to hammer Q-tips into my ears.
I haven't watched this show, but it sounds a lot like the last season of Roseanne. Full of dream sequences and guest stars. I'll pass.
^^^yea, ["Juno"] was another real piece of shit...god i hated that movie.

WOW! After reading this thread, I know which show (and movie!) I won't be watching!

I was told by a couple classmates that I should watch this show (and "Juno"), as I "would thoroughly enjoy it." For one, I had no idea it was a musical, and for two, I had no idea it was basically "High School Musical"... Which I still haven't seen and have no plans on seeing.
