Benzos Tranxene or diazepam for tapering clonazepam ?

Since clonazepam is so hard to taper, which would be preferable for tapering ?

I get that diazepam is more sedating. Whether Tranxene has a longer duration of action is unclear.

How are they for sleep, falling asleep and duration of sleep ? Adverse effects ?

Am I correct if I assume that Tranxene is more often used for maintenance treatment ? I think my taper is going to take 6-12 months.

I'll rephrase it: would Tranxene be adequate for withdrawing from clonazepam ?

As in, providing sufficient 'sedation'/cover for withdrawing from clonazepam ? I know that diazepam is more sedating, but it is also a messy drug. I know that Tranxene has anti-anxiety effects, I wonder if I could get some decent sleep on that drug.

wouldn't you be just going from one benzo addiciton to another?
why not just slow taper from klonopin using klonopin?
how is valium messy? imo one of the best benzos out there the only con i can think of is wanting more and more
