This is what passes for budget legal weed in Canada. It is a 2.49 gram nug of Kosher Kush. Grown by Tweed/Canopy; it is exactly the same as DNA Genetics Kosher Kush (says reddit) which costs 3-4 times as much. When legalization hit, there was no cheap bud and when cheap weed started, it was low THC.

In bits and pieces the quality has improved. Part of the problem is that all cannabis products have to be in opaque containers;you’re not allowed to be able to see the cannabis until after purchase (pretty much all stores had these plexiglass samplers with perforated lids for assessing a sample prior to purchase - this go bye bye with Covid). Only a few manufacturers seem to be nitrogen flushing and seating their products really well. So I still find most legal stuff still too dry. And then you’ll buy something, get home and look at the packaging and find it was packed a year ago (and how long did it sit in those storage vaults).

So I think the quality has improved a little bit. The vape cartridges, rosin/resin/shatter/chocolates and anything else other than flower is very good. The bud pic in this thread was a touch dry but still had a nice kushy smell/taste.

I’d like to think that eventually the laws will allow to be weighed/sold/packed up directly in front of the customer. Still, it’s legal and it’s nice to be able to get it delivered in a few hours.

Salutations,

And this in Québec:

Do i really need to post microphotographs of the trichomes glands as well, just to make sure there's hints of "Tumbled Weed" too?...

M'well, that's at the very least ~9 g i wouldn't buy for any considerations!

Good day, have fun!! ☮

Wow, thanks for posting this. Did you weight and separate into categories based on weight or size? I betray my age but if someone had tried to sell me that when I was still buying from the neighborhood dealers I’d think they were trying to rip me off.

How does it taste?

Salutations Thomas Davie,

Did you weight and separate into categories based on weight or size?

Nothing strictly objective i suppose, it sufficed to divide by apparent sizes that seemed to belong together and then to put each group on a scale separately, in order to later include labels on my photographic capture... Actually that wasn't a 1st in the case of Hexo (Hydropothecary):

SQd-C-Sample-Hexo-OS-220-640x640.png

I betray my age but if someone had tried to sell me that when I was still buying from the neighborhood dealers I’d think they were trying to rip me off.

The cynical part of it is that this is "legal" - oh and the cake's icing: meant to combat "illicit" cannabis of much superior quality, grown by talented/skilled artisans... Too bad all Canadians ain't got a same right to choose, other than the government's monopoly while our public money finances shaming ads on electronic medias.

Oh well, lets finish it with a "coup de grace":

Hexo-OS-210-Original-Stash-Hybrid-Flower-Blend-480x360.png
IMHO, anybody who could have had access to this sort of micro-photographs before the "Légaleezation" age (on planet Itnoc...) just might have said NO!

No way José, no deal. It's genuinely pathetic, but i'm afraid not admissible as objective proof, though i generally prefer to work on something nicer to look at!

:eek:

How does it taste?

In the begining like coffee, but that was slightly blended as i recall and i couldn't reproduce the aroma/taste sensations afterwards. Anyway how good is that for a substance to smell nice when i think of Raid's spray pesticide cans i use to keep spiders and other infesting insects outdoors... Which do smell good somehow, at least the indoor cans...

Past those 2 levels of examination the most crucial one i yet wish to see someday is an extensive laboratory report searching for *all* traces of contaminants, starting with Kosher Zyklon, if i may say so!

...

Good day, have fun!! ☮

This is the remaining portion of the 10g jar that the first picture in this thread came from.

Hummm...

Quite frankly i wonder if my fellow citizens ever manage to get the same offer in Québec's province, which was sacrificed so this sort of dissymetry could exist.

Around here negation of "Systemic Racism" is what's a popular topic on TV, never mind showing it right where it stands.

Legacy of the 2015 elections...

I’m not sure if you mean the same product as above, or something else? It is a Tweed/Canopy Growth product priced @ 4.34/g The Hexo OS220 (and other variants) are sometimes available in Manitoba. Initially, I thought that the stores were deliberately not stocking it because they wanted to maintain a high price(s). Which has failed. And is failing faster as time goes by.

Tom

Hi again Thomas Davie,

It is a Tweed/Canopy Growth product priced @ 4.34/g...

Judging from your pictures it's not as close-shaved as Hexo's samples i shown and i don't suppose it would make much difference if i could check every single bag from them. Nonetheless if we can agree that the noble trichome glands collect on clusters of calyxes covered by a surface layer of them, conveniently suspended on trichome stems, then the purpose of industrial "Tumble Weed" production seems evident to me: it's about valorizing the same cannabis flowers TWICE...

Of course that's no benefit for the end consumers who find themselves in a situation where part to the precious frost floating above Hexo's not-so-noble vegetal substrate is actually removed, which in simple terms boils down to stripping the "cream" away only to leave whatever continues to stick on. The net effect of this excessive transformation is a significant modification of the trichome glands to vegetal substrate ratio, e.g. to promote systemic "vilification" if it's correct to expect such vegetal sustrate to prove much less selective on a molecular basis; i'm more specifically pointing an accusating finger at H.-C.'s hundred Pest Control Products mixed in savvy combinations to lower their "detection" level while maximizing synergy effects which won't escape the attention of those insects this is meant to keep away. To compensate for poor gardening practices no doubt, on top of serious external dangers from industrialization as when cases of "Legionaire" are finally declared then linked to a failing air conditioning system...

Etc., etc. :eek:

In clear i prefer my trichome glands to stay on my cannabis flowers as this optimizes the noble substances to potential contaminants ratio.

The Hexo OS220 (and other variants) are sometimes available in Manitoba.

It only makes sense if it's an accurate enough statement to precise that Manitoba joined Québec on the sacrificial hotel. Two provinces where francophones are a significant part of the population one must argue...

Well at least you seem to get it at a rebate price! :oops: Labelled in english ONLY i suppose.

But Tumble Weed remains a terrible strategy and i'm hoping consumers will manage to protect themselves against "legal" predators, which wasn't advertized as such in October 2015 when i was told to vote for you know who.

To me that's all an insult to cannabis consumers and it's engraved into the opportunistic stone of our laws inspired by values of the Victorian age, besides the United Nations socio-toxicity and imposture of our Commonwealth. And Justin Trudeau is in fact an extra-terrestrial saurian (with scales, who bleeds green)...

By chance cannabis is a plant!

;)

Good day, have fun!! ☮

legal is ok but honestly the less legal stuff is still so much better and more cost effective. Weedmaps, other online vendors, and street bud ftw. Unless I want CBD specific strains then off to the store I go.

Problem is the government charges more than what’s reasonable, even compared to back in the day when street level pot was more expensive. **no pricing please**. That’s easily double and then some at the store, for stuff that is bone dry.:

I used to have a medical card with Tweed. They’re fine for quality but again expensive.

Leafythings has taken over alot of weed maps. Government is getting on weed maps for certified government products only

M'well here's more of what's wrong with Trudeau's "légaleezation":

SRC: Le malaise cannabis

At some point just last evening the face of Marc-Boris St-Maurice sort of splashed onto my TV screen, then a while later Marie-Ève Morin followed as if to serve once again like a proud warrior, to pretend this provides an apearance of balance i guess, etc.

:unsure:

In Québec "bio" is now practically "illegal" but for some law-enforced monopoly shared between industrial$, often Liberal$ (...), Which also implies economical roots for chemical and pharmaceutical player$ - Welcome to a new game, etc., etc. Briefly put we now face one more syndrome caused by politics since the purulent Victorian age of elitists and their self-serving "elites": it must be this century's most blatant display of *IMPOSTURE* when those most concerned get evacuated to benefit opportunist$. Ah, and i better not get started on alcohol in the media!

:eek:

The thing is when i see doctor Morin on TV it can't but remind me of her "re-hab" mentor and therapist mister Jean-Pierre Chiasson, who's obviously got some socio-toxic relationship with other people's substance habits (see RateMDs for alternate perspectives...); actually another warrior but this one happened to plain instrumentalize his own deceased son David on January 2020, which caused me to post a few critical remarks of my own here and there, eventually linking the good doctor to organizers of Trudeau's ("Task Force") 2016 Halloween "SCIENCE" gathering at hotel Marriott in Montréal, although this communications (propaganda) operation was initially designed in Calgary/Alberta... Meanwhile our canuck astronaut/politician Marc Garneau was given model trains to keep hims busy, away from whatever "science" talks there could have been, relatively to cannabis back then.

Good day, have fun!! ☮

I'm looking at the RateMDs page of Dr Morin. I neverr thought of her that way. She looked so nice on TV. It looks like she turned bad in the past couple of years.

Yes, it's sad, but buying legal weed = putting money in the pockets of Liberals friends. CBD is a good tool for CFS/fibrmyalgia, if it wasn't for that, I would never buy any.

I suspect that all of this budget weed is coming from the 700,000 kg (yes, that number is correct, here’s the health Canada link https://www.canada.ca/en/health-can...tion/cannabis/research-data/market/dried.html )

That’s 700 million grams of weed in those massive storage vaults slowly losing quality as companies realize that they generally can’t sell an inferior product at high prices. Of course, a lot of this will be converted into concentrates, edibles, etc

covid definitely has had an impact in walkup in store purchases so they drop the prices. That benefits places where they allow delivery services, since people who choose not to leave their houses get these lowered prices too.

Tom

Salutations Trogere,

...never thought of her that way. She looked so nice on TV.

As i recall Marie-Ève Morin became some familiar face to me only after i saw her for the 1st time on TV, specifically invited to discuss cannabis in days when this was such a hot topic it couldn't but prompt for attention during a most critical moment of our recent history:

Marie-Eve-Morin-Marc-Boris-St-Maurice-Legalisation-de-la-marijuana-TLMEP-2016-Apr-24.png
SRC: Légaliser ou pas? (2016-Apr-24)

Guy A. Lepage: Légalisation du pot? Oui, oui, oui! Légalisation du pot? Non, non, non! On en parle avec Marie-Ève Morin et Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice.

{ Intro musicale }

Guy A. Lepage: Bienvenue à Tout l'Monde en Parle.

Marie-Ève Morin: Merci.

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: Bonjour.

Guy A. Lepage: Pour possession simple, ouais.

Guy A. Lepage: Bravo!

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: C'est que... ... C'est...

{ rires }

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: J'le dis souvent, disons. Fa que... Hummm... Y'a aussi la déjudiciarisation... Ah bin là ...

Guy A. Lepage: Ah bin... cé... Ouais.

Guy A. Lepage: Oui. Oui, oui!

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: Euh... ...effet pervers.

Guy A. Lepage: Un p'tit peu paradoxal, ouains.

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: Effectivement.

Guy A. Lepage: Pourquoi?

Guy A. Lepage: OKay.

{ rires }

Guy A. Lepage: Qui dit « en veux-tu »?!

Shirley Théroux: Oui!

Guy A. Lepage: OKay, ouais.

{ rires et applaudissements }

Marie-Ève Morin: T'as p'u d'blonde? Bof!! Ça va. T'as p'u d'argent? Bof!!

{ cacaphonie }

P'is ça, les gens... C'est pas assez dit.

Joël Denis: J'écoute parler, c't'intéressant. Mais on... On... On...

Guy A. Lepage: Voici c'qu'a dit monsieur, euh... Trudeau, récemment. Manon!

Dany Turcotte: Mon Dieu!

{ cacaphonie }

{ cacaphonie }

Pierre Marcotte: Bin oui.

Guy A. Lepage: Donc y va baisser ses prix.

Marie-Ève Morin: Le marché noir va être moins cher.

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: Ultimement... Ul...

{ rires }

Guy A. Lepage: Mais en même temps, euh... On s'rappele d'in années '70, euh...

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: { inaudible } d'in années '70!

Guy A. Lepage: M'oui.

Guy A. Lepage: Poumons!

Marie-Ève Morin: ...que ce soit du tabac...

Guy A. Lepage: Ouais...

Ah! Ah!

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: Bin, p'is...

{ rires }

Guy A. Lepage: Oui.

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: P'is toi, toi Guy...

{ rires }

Guy A. Lepage: Oui, euh... Moi oui. Oh oui, bien sûr!! Qui avait dit ça? C'était, euh...

Marie-Ève Morin: C'était Jean Charest...

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: ...Clinton...

Marie-Ève Morin: ...qui avait dit qu'il avait...

{ cacaphonie }

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: Bill Clinton!

Joël Denis: { inaudible }

Marie-Ève Morin: ...une année. Jean Charest.

{ cacaphonie }

{ cacaphonie }

Guy A. Lepage: ...participent...

{ rires }

{ cacaphonie }

Marie-Ève Morin: ...s'pas vrai!

Joël Denis: ...un beau buzz... C'tait bien, oui!

Shirley Théroux: Bin oui!

Pierre Marcotte: ...oui hein?!

{ rires }

Dany Turcotte: Pas fin!

{ rires }

{ rires }

{ rires }

Guy A. Lepage: Euh...

{ rires et applaudissements }

Shirley Théroux: Ah! Ouais... { inaudible }

Guy A. Lepage: Bin oui!

Non.

Dany Turcotte: ...{ inaudible } y va falloir qu'y l'vendent à quelque part!

Y... y disent...

Guy A. Lepage: Y s'intéressent...

Marc-Boris Saint-Maurice: « Aÿe là, on a l'goût à! On a l'goût!! ». Mais vous étiez où y'a 4 ~ 5 ans?! C'facile, euh...

Guy A. Lepage: Ah oui?

Marie-Ève Morin: On perd...

Dany Turcotte: Les pilules!

Dany Turcotte: L'OxyContin.

Marie-Ève Morin: P'is ça ça rend dépendant. OxyContin, Dilaudid, Hydromorphone...

Euh... Les sueurs, p'is... Fa' que je... Me... Moi je... j'suis toujours... Moi j'chus pour tout, en fait.

{ rires }

Pierre Lapointe: Bin oui.

{ applaudissements }

[ FIN ]

Shortly after that i think i made the link with her other public media appearances, including Radio-Canada radio if i'm not mistaking:

120607_qv6j7_ampc-toxico_sn635.jpg
...Didier Jutras-Aswad... »

Although on-line records started to disapear since then i can still actually reference to "L'après-midi Porte Conseil" (2012-Jun-7), which is probably the bit of information that caused me to look closer: it seems she liked to work "on the side" quite candidly when in company of other prohibitionist "experts", in this case Didier Jutras-Aswad who i noticed on a "science" show, on Radio-Canada TV, again:

(2014-Nov-7)

A brave warrior who was seen besides Mélanie Joly at the Royal Ontario Museum in 2010, also well acquainted with the pharmaceutical industry, starting with manufacturers of fentanyl...

NIH: Cannabidiol and Cocaine Craving/Dependence (CBD) {2016-Sep-1}
« Sponsor/Information provided by (Responsible Party): Didier Jutras-Aswad »

Who eventually complained many years later that H.-C. caused his project to face a bureaucratic stall...

:unsure:

Nonetheless there are high-visibility individuals just like her who our canuck national TV loves to hire whenever an occasion occurs and it's WHAT THEY WON'T SAY NOR DO which gradually feels plain obvious after a few events, for example:

...at TLMEP - on premium hours via Canada's French-speaking TV network:
TLMEP/SRC - Cannabis: « buzz » sur l'âge légal @6:38/14:54 (2019-Nov-3)
« Moi, mon frère c'est ce qu'il a eu. ... »

Guy A. Lepage was reacting to a statement of Marie-Ève Morin on "psychosis" induced by cannabis:
Marie-Ève Morin - TLMEP (2019-Nov-3) [360x480] .PNG

It didn't occur to me she may have a page on RateMDs too, nor to find a mention of Clinique Caméléon in there. To be honest i just can't comment on her personal character, only on what she said publicly or more exactly what she DIDN'T... That combined to half/truths and a couple white lies completed the picture for me well enough. Anyway the reason i mentioned Jean-Pierre Chiasson is because he was a senior member of the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine, based in Calgary/Alberta. The guy's even acquainted with the American Society of Addiction Medicine, hence knowing these details (never conveyed by public media in good relevent timing, of couse...) it's now easier to gather how socio-toxic activists as Kevin Sabet and Nora Volkow managed to get invited as "international guests" to discuss Canada's cannabis law reforming in Montréal's Marriott hotel...

Go wonder, maybe Marie-Ève Morin would even sound like pleasant company should i ever get to meet her, but she's still on the wrong side of the fence every single time i care to listen. It turns out her TV appearance of April 24th, 2016 coïncides with 2 unavoidable events taking place that same month alone:

  • The KILLING of French-speaking Montréaler/Québeker immigrant Bony Jean-Pierre by SPVM-GTi police agent Christian Gilbert, over 8 oz collected from multiple pockets not actually belonging to the victim (...), e.g. shooting at the head of an unarmed man using some alternative weapon at unsafe distance while this target was practically immobilized between the 4 solid frames of a window, trying to decide which direction to jump next...
  • UNGASS 2016, followed the very next day by public criticism from high-profile UN insiders as Louise Arbour - eventually shipped away on a mission to provide council about justice access in poor countries, i believe.

Let me just tell you if i had got the TLMEP microphone & camera focussed on me, instead of miss Morin that day, i'd to the very least proven acidid on those 2 particular events. But that's not her only nor last contribution, so when she returns what's stopping her to evoke the joint publication on CBD by the United Nations & World Health Organisation dating back to mid-December 2017?? Etc. Or perhaps i was no longer listening already when these little details finally felt worth her mediatic time.

Anyway considering a road map like this all she manages to do is cause me to turn off the volume and/or zap the channel, only to be annoyed by public-paid propaganda posing the average cannabis user as a sexual predator, if not a pedophile: i'm talking about an ad showing 2 guys in a parc, 1 looking above 25 and the other possibly below 18, or even 21 since that's the "legal" age around here. M'well, pure tendencial much like the rest, so it's no big surprize when i read that manufacturers discussed the use of Myclobutanil behind closed doors, not been informed back then that the HCN gas it generates if heated is in fact a LEVEL-3 item of the WEAPONS CHEMICAL CONVENTION better known as Zyklon gas - the one made famous because of Germany's mass extermination chambers! And yet it is those sort of "spe¢iali$ts"/"expert$" who influence our politicians badly enough to even tolerate that Myclobutanil remains on H.-C.'s Pest Control Products list, their logic being that it's probably OKay for us "chemophobics" as long as we can't detect its "traces"...

Etc., etc.

Last but not least i'm forced to observe the "legal" monopoly stores of Québec continue to perpetuate a most unbalanced THC:CBD ratio with ZERO OFFER sounding less than extreme: either it's Full-CBD, either one gets the usual THC-centric stuff. In any case don't plan exploring the 2:1, 3:1 or even 4:1 THC:CBD ratios and much less to appreciate their aroma/taste. It's not only the cannabis seeds which industrial tumbling was designed to make fall.

Put shortly it's all an elaborate insult and i yet got to see drug warriors recognize their own socio-toxic mis-guidance. Imagine public media acknowledging they've been lying/exagerating by propaganda or omission since practically Queen Victoria!... So much for credibility on the public place.

Good day, have fun!! ☮
