Ibrahim Ferrer [1999] - Bruca Manigua

Ibrahim Ferrer (February 20, 1927 – August 6, 2005) was a Cuban singer who played with Los Bocucos for nearly forty years. He also performed with Conjunto Sorpresa, Chepín y su Orquesta Oriental and Mario Patterson. After his retirement in 1991, he was brought back in the studio to record with the Afro-Cuban All Stars and Buena Vista Social Club in March 1996. He then toured internationally with these revival groups and recorded several solo albums for World Circuit before his death in 2005.

The Peking Brothers [1990] - Dancing and Singing in the Village

The Peking (Guo) Brothers were soloists with the Peking Film Orchestra for over 15 years prior to moving to England, where they became most well known as buskers in London. They play Chinese classical and folk music, drawing from traditional pieces as well as their own compositions.

Hedzoleh Soundz were a band from Accra, Ghana formed in the late 1960s. The word Hedzoleh means freedom in the Ga language. The album contains 8 tracks: 6 by Hedzoleh, one by Masekela & one traditional. Their original melodies were based on traditional Akan & Ewe music, and employed African drums instead of modern western congas. Hugh Masekela was introduced to Hedzoleh by Fela Kuti.
