The watcher returns
from his nightly run.
He reaches his bed
and avoids the sun.
The watcher has seen
many terrible sights,
He has seen wars,and blood,
and scenes of pure fright.
But this night he saw
no knife or gun.
He saw a gathering
that was equal to none.
The humans were happy
as they danced through the night,
and they played and gave hugs
that were really quite tight.
And unlike the ones
that he had seen before,
these humans were happy,
and he wanted to see more.
His job was to watch
as humans evolved.
But only in this case
were problems resolved.
Throughout the past,
he watched every night,
that for humans to change,
they would have to fight.
Yet here was a group
of young men and women
who resolved their differences
through their joy of living.
They had many names
like Rollo and J-Bird,
but as a group,
they called themselves ravers.
The watcher had seen
how these kids came together
and knew that their teachings
would last forever.
So he closed his eyes,
without regret or sorrow,
and started to dream
of what he might see tomorrow.
The watcher is an angel that does exactly what his name implies, he watches. Watchers report directly to God, and let him know what humans are up to. Watchers have been around since the beginning and have seen all that we have done. Now the watchers are seeing this peaceful revolution which we refer to as "the rave scene" and are probably happy to let God know that we are going against people who would make pleasure something bad. After all, if pleasure was bad, why would God have made it? I am not an extremely religious person, but spirituality is an important part of my self as a whole. God exists, if not in reality, then in the abtstract. And his watchers are out there. PLUR
