So about a month ago i went to see my guy. I've been buying exclusively from him for...8 years maybe, i'd consider him to be one of my top 5 best friends. I read to his kid, we drive to the casino together and crush the poker tables (wut! *ahem*) , talk about life and shoot the shit even when i'm not trying to cop a bag.
The reason i'm bothering to give background and post this is because if this is because i trust this kid implicitly and i know that he wouldn't do anything to intentionally fuck me. Which means the guy above him or the guy above the that guy is doing something to intentionally fuck people, on a scale of maybe 100+ Lbs. at a time which makes me think that i can't be the only person that's experienced this. If i'd bought from an acquaintance or a random dude i'd just chalk it up to some shithead is really burning people like this?...whatever.
So anyway:
About a month ago i picked up a half for my boy and me and a quarter of different stuff for my neighbor. The quarter was legit, the half was not. I wish i had a pic but i smoked all of it anyway, and it's pretty easy to describe so here goes:
The nugs were nice and light green with a few orange hairs on the inside once you broke the nug out, typical solid BC buds. The smell was on point, i mean, it IS pot for sure. I think the first 3-4x we smoked we were half cocked already anyway and riding around at 2am contemplating how else to damage our livers and lungs so we really didn't notice that we weren't getting that blazed.
A week or two goes by and we notice that every time we smoke we're coughing balls, i mean...fucking coughing like we were trying to smoke bleach or something. Dry ass headache inducing, throat shredding coughs. And not just here and there - EVERY time, EVERY hit, joint, blunt, or bowl, coughing our tits off.
Well, we're retarded so we continued to burn through the bag and once it was maybe 3/4 gone i say to my buddy "this shit even getting you high? i feel like i'm almost high, get a headache for 20 minutes, then i never get lifted" and at that point we have like a Eureka! moment where he's all "yeaaaaaaaaaaahhhh what the fuck is with that....we're not getting like HIGH high, that's for sure...and i'm fucking killing myself in the process"
So now we bust out the bag and start scrutinizing the nugs like...this IS pot, what the fuck is up, how is it possible that we're not getting high? When we really inspect these fuckers (the way maybe you'd inspect a hooker's vag for signs of syphillis or something before diving in) THERE ARE NO CRYSTALS. That's right, NO trichomes. At all. And no hairs sticking out of the outside of the nugs.
We were at a festival when we came to this conclusion so we were like "well, fuckit, let's just shotgun bowls until we actually get high" 3 bowlpacks later i feel like i need a throat-e-otomy and am not high at all. 2-3 hits will usually give me at least a little head change.
It's THC free Marijuana as far as i can tell.
My 2 theories are:
1. It's an 'honest' albeit dumbass mistake and someone had a crop that they tried to dry out too fast via microwave/conventional/easy bake fucking oven.
2. Someone put crazy pounds of herb in a tumbler and rolled them shits until they had like a pound of kief. Basically enabling them to sell the same herb twice.
I want to believe #1 is the case but i'm strongly leaning toward #2 since i don't think there's a high chance of some n00b's first crop entering a supply chain like this.
So has anyone else had this kind of experience? What can you tell me?
