Tether is actually what I'm most concerned about because it's sort of a wildcard factor with some pretty shady shell corp shenanigans behind it. The last time Bitcoin collapsed from the high it was kind of like "well yeah we all expected that" but now money has been freaking piling into the crypto ecosystem since then like crazy.

The whiplash from the next unwind is going to be more severe than it was the last time so stablecoins may not be spared the consequences.

I place my bet on Monero emerging as the most stable cryptocurrency when the big blowout happens. Time will tell.

I started my first margin trade today. Just testing things out. Took out $500, going long on Bitcoin for a week.
We'll see how things go...

Oh yeah, I honestly never intended to ever even mess with that.
Except I watched all this Bitcoin TA recently and I guess there is some really positive sentiment about BTC price over the next couple weeks.
I ended up just matching someone else's million dollar margin buy in point with my $500.
I can afford a $500 hit if it really came down to it. It liquidates at $43000, I'm not too worried that'll happen.
But yeah, I can totally see how this could be the first shovel full dug out of my financial grave.

If I may ask, what is the draw to ETC? Obviously the price action speaks for itself, so i'm just not understanding what it's value comes from.

Mainly because it's just Ethereum....in a nutshell, ETH used to be ETC but it was hacked, and then it split off and then they refunded everybody on ETC with the expectation that everybdy who had ETC would hop over to ETH but that never happened and it grew legs of it's own - it is different than ETH in some ways and you can read all about it here:

if you listened to everybody else over the last few months, they woudve been pretty bear-ish on ETC but i grabbed it anyway because i like coins in the $20-$40 range

plus i'll take a stab at any coin that they accept on pornhub =D

legit no real reason ethereum classic is pumping other than people getting confused its not eth :D

i mean doge is pumping, market has no sense :D

My sources say it's likely that BTC will retest at 52k, if it makes it, it will probably go up past recent highs and climb back into the 60k+ range. It could also drop down to 49k, before bouncing back up. I have little doubt that we will see a new all time high before the big correction (assuming one happens, it always has before), but if it drops down to 49k there is gonna be a lot of panic and the result will be big discounts for like a few hours to a day or two, which would be a better buy in time.

I am conflicted now, I sold most of my stuff into tether because it was looking like BTC was going to make that dip, and I wanted to lock in profits. Now I am trying to decide whether to buy back in or stay in Tether until I see what BTC does. If I wait for it and it moves down, then I get discounts and pick up greater positions and end up with more gains. If it goes up without going down first though, I will wish I had bought in now. Day by day, I'm trying to get smarter and be less reactive. Learning a lot every day. :)

Biggest wealth transfer in history and it's accessible to everyone easily (once you put in time to learn some skills). I want to be a part of it, and am determined to do so.

I am kinda looking forward to the next bear market so I can scoop up the projects I want to hold long term through the next bull run at a fraction of the current prices.

yea you stare at the graph, watching it, saying oh maybe i should wait and then the next day you're kicking yourself for not doing it because it went up

when ETC jumped to 40, i said oh i should buy more but then maybe i should wait, then it hits 50, oh maybe i should now but maybe i should wait, then it hits 60, and i say well its probably gonna come back down, and then it hits 70, and i finally buy more....it's at 97 right now

it's like trying run across a highway during rush hour

Yea and now Amazon is excepting payments from Doge....that's a big deal and it goes to show you, it isn't going away - don't listen to these ppl saying oh it started out as a joke and it's gonna tank, it's just another gamestop - it doesn't look like that to me, so idk man

yeah there is a lot of $ going into doge . market cap is nearly as big as AIRBNB

i would say its more than just retail i know a few high profile crypto OG's who have tens of millions in doge and are long for that $1 target.

still there are a few problems with doge, look at the supply, 50% of the supply is in 3 big accounts, if they dump. price chops in half at ease. plus there is no cap, they can print more, but that works out well for the government so :D

just dyor and dont make any hasty decisions.

In spite of all my cautioning and shit talk about doge my girlfriend loves it.
She is on some crypto forums and she routinely talks about capping the coin.
Whats funny is many people on there don't understand what she is talking about or why it would be beneficial.
Whatever gets it to the moon....

If it does cap in the future you can expect another steep wave of green.

lol yea i still haven't bought any dog money but ya know....i don't doubt it....i just don't know wtf but im not sure it's ever going away either or what

what's the ceiling for it? a dollar? i would think that's all it can hit since it's almost limitless....if it's just a dollar, then it's just an even swap....so i guess you can make a little money on it until it hits that? it's already 60 cents....so all the money big money was already made on it right?

dawg money dawg money yo!
