Most of these questioned were raised in the Roadside Drug Testing mega thread.
As I understand it the tests are designed to test for impairment not just to detect previous days use. So if you've consumed a huge dose expect it to be detected many many hours later. If its a normal pill I think the guess was around 4-6 hours later. So no you should not have any trouble after sleeping the next day unless you've been on one hell of a bender
The problem Perth has is its public transport system is pretty useless outside of work hours and straying to far from the train line. Couple this with the huge urban sprawl of Perth means for some people getting a taxi home from the city can be upwards of $50. When none of your mates live completely in the same direction splititng a cab can be a very expensive exercise. Bill joes idea is probably what most people do now otherwise getting to your own house can cost you a weeks work....
