Just wanted to throw my experiences with stimulants out there to see if anyone feels the same, because they don't affect me the same as other people and I don't really understand it:
Caffeine:
Very rarely has any noticeable stimulating effect on me. Maybe once or twice in the last year I've had a coffee and really noticed it (faster heart rate, sudden energy and excitability - the same thing most people get from it all the time), but most of the time it actually makes me feel a bit sleepy. It definitely doesn't stop me falling asleep. Usually makes me very irritable, but that's it.
Higher dosage doesn't make any difference, it always feels the same whether it's a small instant coffee or 300mg of caffeine powder in one go.
Amphetamine:
Feels much the same as caffeine.
After an hour or so I'll sometimes get a short burst of energy but that quickly fades, after which i'll have no apetite even if I'm starving hungry.
A few hours in I'll start to get massively dilated pupils and from that point on I can't sleep whatsoever, and it staves off any feeling of fatigue for many hours thereafter. Great for pulling an all-nighter, but nothing resembling euphoria. Doesn't even make me talk any more than usual. Other people can't tell I'm on anything.
Cocaine:
Done lines of 100mg a couple of times, gives me just the barest hint of a good feeling. As such no desire to do another line after it's worn off, which i guess is a good thing.
The exception to all of the above is if I take any of them while already drunk - in that case I feel like they all have a very significant effect. Whether this is actually the case or not I don't know.
MDMA on the other hand has an incredible effect, gives me a tonne of energy for a few hours. Can't sleep just like with amphetamine - although that's partly because I'm still revelling in feelings of euphoria for at least the next day.
