This is the oldest Ad i could find featuring the 70yo SKF, 5mg 'orange shields' wonder drug-Dextroamphetamine.

The history and uses of this cute little pill, are incredible.

Given in handfulls to WW2 troups inluie of sleep, the public came to know it after the war into the 1950s, where they were used and abused, for the treatment of SO many complaints it's almost unbelieveable:

Indications were for:
-Eplipsy
-Head injury
-Parkinsons
-Depression
-Asthma
-Nasal blockage
-Barb and Opi ODs
-Hyperactivity in children
-narcolepsy
-Obesity
-Alcoholism.

Rock n roll was created with well known pioneers and their large jars of Dex, Jerry lee Lewis, Elvis, Cash (up to 100-150 tabs daily at his height) not to mention the noval writing bibliomaniacs of the beat generation fueled by Dex.

2-3 of the tabs banishes fatigue and lifts the spirits of the depressed in most while larger doses provided a 'rush' preferred by most 'leapers'

I overheard the following conversation between two people recently: One guy is Rx 180 20mg Ritalin SRs, which provide motivation, but cause introversion, and no fun while the other guy is Rx Dex tabs 80mgs daily-480 monthly which he has been on for 17 years, and eats like lollies in a week. He preferes slamming Ritalin in 100mg+ doses. So person A swaps 90 Ritalins for 180 Dex, (1, 20mg Rit for 2, 5mg Dex) which he takes in 60-80mg 'party doses when he needs more than red bull.=D

Person A knows about the dangers of habituation and addiction to keep it ocassional, while having Ritalin to study/read on.
