regular acid users

You run the risk of damaging your psyche if you take acid that regularly. Check out the MK ULTRA tests done by the CIA using LSD and hypnosis. They fed one poor guy LSD for 77 days straight, surprise surprise, he jumped from a window on the 78th day....

from a person who takes acid regularly and is highly spiritual i think the above statement is a load of crap :) please show me proof that my psyche has been damaged!

whilst i havnt taken acid for 77 days straight i have taken upwards of 250ug per night weekend after weekend and i never wanted to kill myself. however i can see how someone who isnt prepared to deal with what the acid brings out would want to end it by killing themselves. still, this doesnt mean that the psyche has been damaged, just that he couldnt handle the acid trip anymore and just wanted it to end NOW.

yes it does build up a tolerance

old parent saying : just because a guy in the army jumped out of the window does that mean you will as well?

This is what really happened it seems to have got wires crossed.

The CIA's LSD experiments were conducted on many unwitting subjects, most often prisoners or patrons of brothels set up and run by the Agency, which had installed two-way mirrors in the establishments to allow for observation of the drug's effects (these studies were referred to as "Operation Midnight Climax"). Some of the MKULTRA subjects who were informed faced even more inhumane treatment: during one experiment in Kentucky, seven volunteers were given LSD for 77 days straight.

One of the experiments probably proved fatal. On November 19, 1953, an Army scientist and germ warfare specialist named Frank Olson, who was working on an MKULTRA project, was slipped a solid dose of LSD in his drink. Then, after spending eight days stumbling about in what many observers described as a paranoid, depressed state, Olson jumped through his hotel window in New York and fell ten stories to his death.

From here

LSD is fine to take on a weekly basis but it becomes rather normal an uninteresting rather quickly. One of those drugs thats best spaced out to get the full effect.

I spent a few years in the mid-90's eating acid every weekend, and like others have already said, it definately loses its magic. Even though the actual chemical tolerance does't last that long, you just get too comfortable with the tripping mind space.

For me, tripping isn't fun unless it gets a bit hair raising (eg the seatbelt trip - where you need to strap yourself in :D). When you get too familiar with it, it gets boring.

These days I only use LSD a few times a year, but when I do trip I make sure it's a hefty dose. Every single trip I have now is absolutely mind blowing. My personal recommendation is to take large doses very infrequently and (along with perfect set and setting) you'll pretty much never be dissapointed.

I second that.8o

I'll third that - and add that a hefty dose doesnt nessecarily mean taking heaps of blotters. One blot could potentially be a large dose ... (I know this is obvious but thought it was worth pointing out anyhow since some of the newer members may simply associate large dose to mean more than the normal dose which most people would assume is one)
