A friend of mine has been using heroin for about 11 months now and has finally decided to quit. Rehab is not an option and she has no insurance. She has access to a few medications she has heard helps and I'm hoping I can help her figure out the best combination to help her. She has clonodine, gabapentin, one 8mg suboxen, small amount of xanax, baclofen and some zofran. Any suggestions? Oh and she was doing about about a bag a day and last dose was a rinse 27 houra hours ago.

Here's what I'd do: A quick taper with the 8MG suboxone, then start a clonidine + gabapentin regimen and use the Xanax, baclofen & Zofran on an as-needed basis. You have all the right tools, so the rest is going to be up to you.

Thank you! She is doing really good. The sub is gone. She hasn't taken any zofran. Took clonodine and gabapentin right before bed and felt totally normal when she woke up. Things are going good even though they aren't easy!
