So I've been taking phentermine for a few months now at the prescribed dose. I've had great results. Anyway, over the last few weeks, I've noticed that I get hungry later in the day. So I decided to try taking 1.5 tablets and it seemed to work. I guess I'm building a tolerance. I don't want to get to the point where I have to take 2 tablets per dose. I don't think I'm comfortable with that.
I googled around and read from a few sources that DXM can prevent and reduce tolerance to amphetamines. Since this is close to an amphetamine, I was going to try it.
I know the two drugs should not be taken together as that can cause serotonin syndrome. I took 1.5 tablets of phentermine about 24 hours ago. Is it now safe to take a 30mg dose of DXM once or twice for the next few days before I start taking the phentermine again? Or should I wait a bit longer before taking the DXM? I would think 24 hours would be fine, but I'm not willing to risk it.
