^yep, that's the one. for some reason i couldn't find it at first. thanks, Shady!
edit:
whoa, it's housed in chicago! gonna go see it in person this week or next. banking on it not being in storage or elsewhere on loan.
i remember almost getting to see "The Starry Night" at a museum in france, spain, or italy. but they had sent it back to nyc like the day before we arrived. i have seen van gogh's "Self portrait" in person in paris, which is not only famous but actually awesome. i've of course seen "Mona Lisa" in person, which is a giant disappointment. even if it wasn't behind bulletproof glass, it's not impressive at all. in my opinion, of course.
schedule permitting, i'm gonna fly down to atlanta to see mann's A Thousand Crossings exhibit. i've only seen one of her prints in person in my entire life, "The Wet Bed." i've mentioned it in this or the photography thread, but it was so significant for me i can't help mentioning it again. it was a contact print on loan at cincinnati's contemporary art center. across the street from my old office so i went to see it about a dozen times during my lunch breaks before they sent it back to wherever.
