That because you are not creative nor you try. Explore your mind, you can belive me. Began looking for aesthetics, I didn't ask anybody to post only things that can be labeled as 'art', anything can be. Though don't post shits like the dude above ( that manga hentai whatever shit is) because if I want to see some ass I either fuck my bitch or go and search for porn, the rest of them are okay, Long short story, be mature.

EDIT > If you have an image larger than the other which's small don't put them either above or beside they won't stay, glitches ha

This is BRENT
12175
He is 37 years old and loves to laugh and play.
He takes great care of "Grandmother" the oldest female living in his sanctuary.
Brent paints only with his tongue.
His unique approach and style, while a little unorthodox, results in beautiful pieces of art.

12176
Brent took first place in a National Art Competition and a $10,000 grant for his artwork, which was made using only his tongue.

This is CHEETAH
12172
Cheetah, estimated to be born in the 1970's, lived alone in a laboratory for 19 years and endured over 400 biopsies. He was rescued by Save the Chimps in 2002 and has since discovered his passion for painting.

12174
He recently won a $10,000 grant for his sanctuary when he came second in the same Art Competition

This is JAIMIE

12180
Jaimie is the boss of Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest. She has a very curious mind and loves activities, which include occasional art projects. She often prefers non-traditional surfaces for her work such as toys and walls. It is difficult to imagine how she survived the years of boredom and fear in biomedical research

12179

Jaimie elevated her hot pink and purple painting by incorporating sunflower seed shells

Glitches, the matrix got overwhelmed by my artistic expression haha. Those X, dunno what to do wit them, if a MOD can fix this then hooray to them but I can't.

hey, can someone remind me the piece name and artist of that painting of a corner cafe with giant glass window where you can see the patrons at the counter? i do not mean "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," which i think is a paradoy of the original.

edit: oh my, my googling skills are dissipating along with my youth.

i'm feeling "Nighthawks" by edward hopper. because it reminds me of my favorite forms of photography, street and snapshot. also the lighting is dope, which adds to the photographic feel. and all this without that ultra-realistic painting style that's becoming popular in online art. it still has the distinct qualities of a painting, well combined with photographic qualities.

wzzup, hydro, uhm.. thats actually the only one I can think of in this term. I know what you lookin for, vintage type shop. Look over here, Nighthawks

^yep, that's the one. for some reason i couldn't find it at first. thanks, Shady!

edit:
whoa, it's housed in chicago! gonna go see it in person this week or next. banking on it not being in storage or elsewhere on loan.

i remember almost getting to see "The Starry Night" at a museum in france, spain, or italy. but they had sent it back to nyc like the day before we arrived. i have seen van gogh's "Self portrait" in person in paris, which is not only famous but actually awesome. i've of course seen "Mona Lisa" in person, which is a giant disappointment. even if it wasn't behind bulletproof glass, it's not impressive at all. in my opinion, of course.

schedule permitting, i'm gonna fly down to atlanta to see mann's A Thousand Crossings exhibit. i've only seen one of her prints in person in my entire life, "The Wet Bed." i've mentioned it in this or the photography thread, but it was so significant for me i can't help mentioning it again. it was a contact print on loan at cincinnati's contemporary art center. across the street from my old office so i went to see it about a dozen times during my lunch breaks before they sent it back to wherever.

Crescent moon and the 4 Galilean moons of Jupiter. The beautifulness in this picture can't be described, at least for me.

Fun fact - I don't think Jupiter has 79 moons, I think it has over 200 up to maybe 300 that weren't discovered, and who knows, not asteroids or meteroids, but moons.

Been interested in "copy-art" Xerox stuff for some time & the impact of it when done well never fails to shock me.
One of these days when I get my own sludge band together on the first EP called "Baba Yaga" named after the Slavic witch the cover will be made up of this kinda stuff (I have it all planned out like Kurt Cobain did)
