I do not know why, but the picture icon is not illuminated and when it is I just get the http. How do I remedy this?

There is a little yellow gear looking thing that when "pressed" hides/un-hides BB options.
Not sure if this is what is appropriate.

I think the actual image can only be hosted thru PMs, iirc?

You cannot upload photos to attach to a post. It can only be done via linking the URL of a photo that has already been uploaded to the Internet elsewhere.
