Overseas pharmacies

For my fellow Americans, how many of you guys have ordered drugs -- specifically narcotics -- from overseas pharmacies? I was checking out a Russian pharmacy online today and I'm curious how efficient and safe it is. Would ordering a narcotic from a Russian pharmacy pose serious legal risks? It seems to me any package coming through customs from an overseas pharmacy would immediately draw suspicion, but maybe I'm wrong...

Also, if I did place an order, what kind of timeframe am I looking at for it to be delivered?

Thanks.

If you don't have a prescription for the narcotic medication, it's not legal to import them from overseas pharmacies. Years ago, I tried this with something that was supposed to be Xanax and got something else so it was a waste of money. These people just want your money and I wouldn't want to take that chance.

I realize it's 100% illegal to do it without a prescription, I was just wondering how risky it actually is.

But seeing as they know you have absolutely no recourse if they rip you off, that certainly carries its own risk.

I feel for you and have thought in circles about how to get pain management without a doctor.
Personally I would just be too worried about ingesting the unknown substance.

Under normal circumstances I would consider it for purely recreational purposes. However, I was recently in a car accident that caused a separation of the vertebrae in my neck, and am given only muscle relaxers. Obviously, you cannot come out and ASK for narcotics, or up go the red flags and probably my clonazepam prescription...

I would most definitely not order drugs in the mail from russia. Russia is on a list of countries that is more likely to be screened than say, England. An overseas pharmacy may not give a shit about stealth or concealing the contents, and ordering scheduled drugs in the mail is a federal offense. If you look harder there is a much safer way to order drugs.

True enough.

Thanks for the responses.

DO NOT ORDER FROM ONLINE PHARMACIES!! I wouldn't have posted this as it seems that all responses are negative. But it doesn't look like anyone has actually tried it.

I did. A few years ago. Here is my story:
I had always been skeptical of these. I would get the spam emails and the pop-ups but figured those were all scams. So I went looking for one that was legit. I found a few, but I figured one with a good website domain had a better chance of being legit than onlineasiapharmacysellmanydruggoodprice. com. The fact that it was a httpS was a good sign too. I also thought that having slightly higher prices than those spam email sites was another good sign. I placed an order for about $40 for a few norco, xanax, viagra, flexeril, and zithromax. I figured I'd try it out and if it worked out I'd place a larger order. I went through the checkout process and as soon as I confirmed the purchase I got a notification on my phone that my checking account was overdrawn. They ran a $1 transaction, then immediately a $300 transaction. I guess it was lucky I only had $293 in my account (I still remember how much). Luckily my bank was cool about it and in 5 minutes had a new account opened, refunded my funds and moved them to the new account, and had a new debit card overnighted to me.
So I guess it all worked out in the end- No harm, no foul. I don't think I've ever told that story before.
If you're dead set on trying it, I would HIGHLY recommend buying one of those prepaid Visa cards.
