Hi...
Welcome to what we have been trying to figure out for years.
You are not the only person who has noticed this.
There is MDMA out there that tests as MDMA but does not produce MDMA effects in new or experienced users.
We have several theories over in
Thread 1 and
Thread 2.
Here is what we know for certain based on published research:
#1. Different synthesis methods are used now than were used in the past.
#2. Different synthesis methods produce different synthesis byproducts.
#3. Some synthesis byproducts are capable of altering monoamine transporter activity.
#4. Interference in monoamine transporter activity can dampen the MDMA experience.
These facts (among others) lead us to several theories for what may be occurring.
#1. Changes in synthesis methods have resulted in new impurity profiles that result in a diminished MDMA experience.
#2. Changes in synthesis methods have resulted in new impurity profiles that result in a diminished MDMA experience for SOME users due to genetic profiles or other individual variation.
#3. GCMS is unable to identify the difference between MDMA and MDMA isobaric derivatives, resulting in misidentification of compounds that are similar to MDMA.
#4. What many consider to be a typical MDMA experience was actually due to active impurities that enhanced the effects of MDMA.
Would you please be so kind as to share a detailed account of your experience in
Thread 2?
Also, for clarification would you please answer these questions:
Did you test with a lab or just with a reagent testing kit?
How long have you used MDMA and what is your usage pattern?
What do you consider to be a "typical" MDMA experience?
How was this experience different?
How could you tell that first timers were not experiencing typical MDMA effects?
