Accused drug bosses banned

ACCUSED drug bosses Tony Mokbel and Carl Williams are to be banned from one of Melbourne's most popular entertainment zones.

Victoria Police confirmed last night it had taken steps towards enforcing the Summary Offences Act in the City of Stonnington, which takes in the popular Prahran and South Yarra entertainment districts.

Such enforcement, which is used infrequently, would prohibit the pair from visiting any of the hundreds of licensed premises in the city on character grounds.

The Herald Sun believes Mr Williams was in Prahran on Sunday, at the Revolver nightclub in Chapel St.

Mr Mokbel is believed to own a business in the City of Stonnington.

The pair are expected to get letters soon telling them of the decision, which will keep them out of venues in eight suburbs.

Mr Williams' wife, Roberta, said last night she was disgusted by the order.

"Why ban Carl and Tony. I'm pissed off. I'm so angry," Mrs Williams said.

I just wanted to post this because I saw Carl turn up around 10am Sunday morning at Rev... hehe, should have seen security scatter. Especially since associates of the Morans have been seen there in recent weeks, and Carl is virtually a marked man.

^^of course he had no trouble getting in...He flashed his piece at security.
