Need a new vice (What’s your vice?)

I suggest Gabapentin or something in its family. I've been taking it for ten years. Search for gabapentin or a thread called gabapentin dosing on here that's not very old.

It's a very mild, euphoric, happy go lucky, nice buzz. It gradually comes on and gradually leaves. No bad side effects and no comedown at all. It doesnt impair you where you cant work or drive and it makes you feel good enough, you could conquer the world.

If you do get your hands on these bad boys, a good starting dose would be 900mg. Now, these things build up a tolerance in your body like over night. So if you were to go and take them the next day, you would have to double your dose to feel them. So you can't get off on them daily, unfortunately.

Oh, and just to warn you, they take about two hours to kick in. Any more questions, just ask.

Another name gabapentin goes by is Neurontin. And Pregabalin and Lyrica is the same type of meds but I've never tried them.

I completely forgot that kava was even a thing. I‘ll give that a try and get back to you😎
thanks for the warm welcome
No worries. Kava beats valerian any day in my book. I would almost liken valerian to poppers- amyl nitrate. A cheap thrill in a way. Valerian is strong, but primarily sleep inducing, and with a groggy after feel when I took it years ago.

Kava is so much more. It has lots going for it medicinally, and is more psychoactive in terms of brain chemicals and elevated, uplifted consciousness.

You get "heady", euphoric- kavain rich cultivars. And heavier, more sedating, muscle aching and sleep aiding ones. Different courses for horses.

If you want some general cultivar tips hit me up man.

I mean please look into how they work and doses obviously, herbs can be just as dangerous and wonderful as potent synthetic drugs.
So true. They say both the medicine and the poison is in the dose.

Got some fire Koro Islands Kava recently. See how thick it is, like Guiness lager Frothy and oliy, like chocolate milk:

Lab tests- 13.76% Kavalactones! For those who realise the significance of that anyway, considering a good average is 6 to 8 % normally, 8% and above being syrong enough lol.

Hi just saw your post. Happy welcome too. It's really pleased me lately to see so many new members join, with really interesting points and experience to share, and we welcome all aboard here.

Also ketamine is dope.

Did you ever try MXE?

Im interested in ketamine for sure, I had the tiniest baby bump years ago at a festival and enjoyed the sense of dreamy peace. My issue now is isolation and inexperience, I just don’t know where people get this shit lol.

In that case, herbs might be the way to go. I’ll have to play with the dosage, otherwise something like a cup of valerian tea sounds pretty underwhelming.

Though I’ve been warned about Kratom multiple times, it still seems alluring, possibly moreso now 🤦. I want to at least give it a fair try - and as an update, I think I’ve narrowed it down to choosing a red strain.

I just found out about this famed MXE on the MXiPr thread. based on the numerous requests for it to cycle back around, and the glowing nostalgia with which people speak of it - it sounds divine 😚. Now I’m wishing I was a chemist

Kratom I like! But it has a nasty edge. It is physically addictive, with horrific withdrawals, really you need to use it 2 or 3 times a week max ideally.

Kava is entirely non physically addictive, zero withdrawals, generally much cleaner and friendlier to the body.

Ketamine I too loved of course, in early 2000's. But it too has it's per se negatives.

Bladder destruction from daily use. And not really good for the respiratory system to use regular, especially for the sinuses.

Kava is virtually free from any real harmful effects in contrast to the above, hence my touting of it.

I have a love hate Relationship with kratom. I love the feeling it gives you when you finally find a good batch but I hate how short it lasts and how inconsistent the batches can be. One day it makes you feel great and then you get a tolerance real quick and all of the sudden it does nothing and no matter what dose you take you don’t feel anything. Just my experiences with it. Poppy seed tea is great but extremely addictive and hard to make it through the withdrawals

Learn to dance (break to funky music) I am an addicted breaker. It's a good healthy vice opposed to my month on DMT, Well maybe lol.

I prob wouldn't use religion to become addicted to. Believe in yourself and you will go far. BTW I have TN and Kava was my magic go to but pretty sure its banned in Australia now as well as so many things of recent times. My main past time is working on my designer Business - Simulacra - (Party change color clothing) #notmyPrimeMinister. What about trying out Freemasonry? I love it. Come join the illuminati we don't bite. We just help. I couldn't be happier. (No not a religious thing.) A human thing. Just some ideas.

Hi I'm an oldskool bler who has forgotten their 20 year old password. So here I am greenlighter lol. But always happy to help. If you have any kind of Daw make some music or good roads to downhill. Buy a cheap but good longboard n get that natural rush. Skating is also addictive. Peace.

I'm a serious downer/dissociation person so here are my favorites:

Ketamine!!!!

Or kava, kratom, phenibut, and GHB. Phenibut is so gross to take though... GHB is so nice and relaxing. It almost feels like a subutex mixed with molly at the right dose.

Ashwagandha tea is very nice. It's similar to a benzodiazepine. It's a root that you can brew into a tea, and you can most likely find it at your local apothecary.

Seconded the nitrous, although the redosing is very compulsive. LSD is also very nice every month or so.
I've tried a few preparations of ashwagandha and never felt anything. Does it have any (perceptible) effect on someone with a 4mg/day alprazolam Rx? I've heard good things about it from a few other people, but it seems to not work for me.

It's pretty good to me, I take 1.5mg of clonazepam daily and I still get a good buzz from it. However, if somebody takes 4mg's of alprazolam daily I think that would be enough to nullify the effects of ashwagandha since they both effect GABA receptors.

Everyone has one.

be it drugs, sex or rock n roll. Lol.(or all of the above).

In all sincerity though, I’m looking for a new vice and figured I’d ask here.

Cannabis is too heavy for me and often anxiety inducing - I don’t blame the cannabis but rather potential neural associations made in my early 20s. Cannabis is not an easy going thing for me, it’s work. So that’s out.

I love the euphoria, relaxation and boldness of alcohol, but my body hates processing it, even a little bit - headaches, puking, so again it doesn’t really work for me.

I liked painkillers too, but that didn’t quite get me where I wanted to be either. The pills seemed lacking still.

What I’m looking for is something a bit euphoric, bright, relaxed, warm, dreamy maybe even a bit dissociative. I want to redirect my depressed thoughts and feelings, and numb out some physical and emotional pain.
I’m an artist, I like to practice/study/create..I like to deep dream and make something out of it, bring back little pieces for the world.

so ideally I’m searching for something or two things that would allow me to do so with more ease (maybe one for the relaxation melting away into my bed and one for doing things)
ideally these things are reasonably accessible, or perhaps someone more experienced can direct me.

I’ve been researching about Kratom, that seems doable. Wondering what you all think about the different strains?

I’m certainly curious about that old celebrated opium but have no idea where to get it.

I just need something new to enjoy and shift my frame of reference every once in a while. Except for strange thoughts, im sober almost always. Im open to suggestions :)

What’s your vice?
What do you enjoy on a weekly basis?
what’s your favorite state of being?

I love the written word. Writing is the strongest reason I haven't offed myself.

Waking up late, eating a big breakfast while smoking a joint, then railing amphetamine or dropping Dexedrine, and if tolerance allows it, some LSD, 2C-B or maybe some ketamine in there aswell - I do some kind of psychedelic once or twice every month, but most of the time it's amphetamine + cannabis.
It used to be amphetamine + morphine/oxy/heroin, but I can't handle opiates.

My favourite state of being is when flow-state is reached. When my fingers never miss a stroke and my fingers spit out the words as fast as I can think them, getting a paragraph or sentence just right, lighting a smoke or a joint, take a drag and continue.
And on amphetamine, ideas pop up like those porn-pop ups that raped your screen on Windows 95; endless possibilities.

Then, landing on something soft, like Soma and a few Valiums is never wrong.

So here's what I'd recommend (but that's just me):

"What I’m looking for is something a bit euphoric, bright, relaxed, warm, dreamy maybe even a bit dissociative. I want to redirect my depressed thoughts and feelings"
-
I instantly think of a low dose of Ketamine, or 2C-B; maybe flippin' them. I like amphetamine spiced with special K aswell.

"(maybe one for the relaxation melting away into my bed...)"
-
Try a red strain of Kratom. If you're a novice to opiates/opioids, you'll get plenty of relaxation. Fuck, I get it and I abused heroin.
If you can get your hands on Soma, those are the shit. And obviously, GHB! Fantastic when you get the dosage right.

But the ultimate one is in my humble opinion opium. By far.

Check out darknet and such things if you don't have plugs- PM if you have any questions or just like to bounce ball with artistic ideas (btw, what kind of art do you live for, so to speak?).

Take care friend.

For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it's much better to be killed by a lover." - Bukowski
