Misc Namenda for anxiety??

hi, just curious if anyone has had any success with this drug? i have severe anxiety and depression. nothing works , ssri' snri, maoi' and the doctor talked to me about this..please if you can let me know your experiences..i'm afraid to try it but i am also tired of feeling this way. thanks!

I'm confused. Isn't Namenda an anti-alzheimers drug?

It's Memantine... it's used for Alzheimer's sometimes but it's a dissociative that is also used off-label for depression and maybe some other stuff. In higher dosages some people really enjoy it as a recreational drug.

You should try it if your doctor is willing to give it a go.

I would try other pharmaceutical pursuits, but that's just me. What do you think? Does your doctor seem like they care and are knowledgable?

Before trying off-label memantine you could try ketamine, iirc the fda recently approved an esketamine nasal spray for major depression
