well well well. i didn't really know what to expect - i knew the music would be awesome (the *only* reason i was going), and the crowd shit. turned out pretty much like that. to get the bad out of the way first, shirtless muzzas with muscles larger than their brains are not exactly my idea of friendly, especially when negotiating through their crowds invariably cops you a faceful of sweat or an elbow in the guts...but, despite their massive numbers, they didn't ruin my day.

got there about two p.m. sporting a *massive* hangover, but still managed to cruise around and enjoy myself - krafty kuts and a-skillz were on at the time, and though they weren't top of my list to see, they (imo) cranked out in the best set that i heard all day/night. their mixing; scratching; general fucking around with the decks had to be seen to be believed, and at one stage i swear they changed tracks about five times in a minute...and it sounded great.

groove armada were great - their live set early last year (minus findlay) was better - but they knew how to get the crowd going, and "superstylin'", as usual, went off. unfortunately i didn't get to see or hear much of bob sinclar (probably the man i was most pumped to see :(), as the set-out was shit around the back of the bowl - it was too packed, and the bass from the next stage was clashing at the closest position i seemed to be able to get to. a bit of the same for derrick carter, though i found his set to be uninspired, actually - just a bit dull, and i'm not sure why.

caught a few others - for a local playing music that i don't enjoy nearly as much anymore, i thought master kaos put in a fantastic set; what i caught of lange was *awesome*; and infusion really carved it up, played a *very* nice set.

all in all, a really good day - and i even managed to catch up with a few faces i hadn't seen around for a while! dunno if i can back it up again next year (if i do, i don't think i'll drink so much the night before ;)), but it was worth it this year!

it was fun.

Enjoyed :
1- Krafty Kuts
2- Infusion
3 - Bob Sinclair
4 - Tits everywhere

Didn't enjoy

1- Sinking feeling of not having tickets at the start of the day
2 - Too many people - muzzas or otherwise
3 - Phil K (surpringly boring and crap imho)
4 - Drink and food prices

^^^ yep, tits were good, and prices were bad - seven fucking dollars for a fucking burger?? and of course, future oversold another event...way too many people there, yes.

I had an awesome time outside on the grass with Wazza. Only reason I bought tickets was to see Misstress Barbara, so I bummed around in there for a bit, got bored and hot and sat on the grass outside.

Had a good time..

Spent most of my time wandering around from place to place. Met some really nice people who introduced me to a whole new level of 'dodgyness'.
Watched in amazement as about 20 people snuck in using dodgy wrist banks... Their work was so clinical and precise.. After watching I thought the 80 bucks I spent buying the ticket was well worth it to avoid the hassle... Though on second thoughts.. I may never pay for a ticket again;)

My highlight of the day was my good ol friend Kyle.. White sticky tape around his wrists, red chewing gum paper taped to the white sticky tape.. and yep you guessed it that's what he used as his pass out. A whole group of us went back in and he fuckin managed get through - Classic!

I thought Infusion totally rocked it.

Didn't really mind the crowd as there was still plenty of space to laze around if you wanted to find the room.

Yes, the food prices were crazy.. I must admit. 3 bucks for a can of soft drink. Oh well.. i guess next time i'm going to pack a lunch and keep it in the car.

F

i didnt really pay much attention to the music.
lots of cokeheads too. my biggest event so far and for that reason i enjoyed it, simply to see that many ppl in one place.

however i did spend a lot of time outside in the park with friends gettin paranoid that all the ppl walkin past were undercovers and spying on us. especially the chicks with the puppy that kept running away into the middle of our circle and sniffing around.

She wasn't, but originally she was going to play. Guess it's better that she's playing Hifi next weekend, that way I don't need to put up with the shirtless marios.

You guys seriously need to get over the shirtless guys. I think most of you are more envious of them than you would like to believe.

I cant remember one post of a bodybuilder crapping on about the pasty white, skinny, bug-eyed, sleep deprivated raver?

They are there to have fun, so are you. So build a bridge.

Summerdayze was good I thought, although I think someone better shoot Sean Quinn in the face. He played for like 90mins of utter garbage, I swear at one point there was no music for like 5mins. John Course comes on and 10seconds into his set the crowd is going crazy.

Scott Alert is a machine, he needs to be on the centre stage instead of Jason "K is a food group" Midro.

Other than some sunburn, the day was a good one.

But I think I'll check out Sunshine People next year if its on.

i havent heard a wiser word spoken yet energizer! scott is da shiznit!
went to sunshine people, it was utter crap, summadayze next yr!

I had an awesome time too, though ended up leaving early. Infusion, as always rocked hard, it was the perfect style of music for the event I reckon.

On the topic of shirtless blokes, I am usually very much against the sweaty massive muzzas but I got to see things from a different perspective at Summadayze. I spent a lot of time chilling out with my sisters boyfreind and his mates, both of whom are professional models (with abs that jut out an inch!). They were shirtless the whole day, and one of them was even wearing a white cowboy hat!

However both guys are absolute champs, really nice guys, never start anything and were just there to have a good time. I was really surprised to see how many blokes would make faces at them, or stick there arms out and generally give them shit. I mean its one thing to not like seeing half naked guys, but there is no point trying to ruin their day - its little wonder so many of them seem arrogant and confrontational, people are far more hostile to them than they are back.

Despite this everyone had an awesome time.

BTW I had my shirt off most of the day - it was too fucking hot (even though my body is far from perfect!)

^^
i can see ur point t-funk...but in general, they dont seem to be very nice ppl at all. and as for being envious....pfffft.

Firstly I had a great time, as always Summerdayze is big fun.

Nice to run into a BL'er outside when I was walking to my car to get lunch, babbling about porn and other wierd shiznit... :p ... hope you had a good day.

Secondly would people get over the shirt-off thing, in hundreds of hours of going out and partying I have never had any trouble from these guys, I mean it's not my thing, but they're there for the same reason you are; to have fun. The few times I have talked to them, they've been more than friendly.

Live and let live... or is PLUR confined only to other people who are wearing fluffy, bright stuff?

i've never seen so many hot chicks in one place :D 8o
i had a really fun day in the sun, hanging out with heaps of mates and hearing some good tunes. isn't that what Summadayze is sposed to be about? everyone else i spoke to had an awesome time as well. On that simple score i have to count Summadayze a big success.

PS of course there were heaps of dudes with shirts off... it was a fucking hot day! i never had any attitude from any coked-up muzzas, so what's the problem?

PPS although food was expensive, and the drink tokens were annoying, water was relatively cheap at $3 for a large bottle, and i thought the refill stations were very convenient and quick. they should have them at more parties.

So many women. :)

So many women wearing not much. :)

So many women wearing not much on pills being loved up. :)

Coke head boyfriends :(

AHHHh had an OK day, went home, showered, railed, went back and had a fucking ball.

What more can I say.

:)
